Obviously, the writers are screwing us up. Why on earth are they STILL coming up with storylines that involve Dan and Serena as ~potental*~ love interests YET again?
In the last episodes, we've seen Serena desperately swing Dan back her golden locks. But the guy, in her Jesus Christ-esque curls, is apparently getting to have a certain brunette bride fall in love with him.
In seasons one and two, Dan and Serena have already broken up, telling each other that "it's over" because of the Ms Carr debacle, and the Rufus-Lily marriage. And oh! Dare I not forget, they share an apartment, AND a brother together? Over time, these same reasons (except for the scandal magnet Ms. Carr) remain the same ones why they can't possibly be together.
It's good that today, Dan is pining for someone else. At least, he has grown. Personally, I'd like to believe he's not being a thorn to Serena because he knows they're already a family together, and you can't fool around with your family.
Serena, in her ditzy logic as always, is throwing herself at the rejecting Dan. Don't Rufus and Lily ever squirm upon learning Dan and Serena kissed at some party recently?
Because seriously, if they end up together, how will the van der Humphrey household look like? Gossip Girl, as a show, will be beyond gross.
Honestly, I don't understand why there are still Dan-Serena shippers. Haha! And don't tell me Dan and Serena are "not related" because I swear, you need to talk to someone eelse who CAN stand your illogical reason.

And also I think that the writers are Done with Serenate. Hate to break it too you but the producers said that the last 5 minutes of the 100th episode will be the direction that they are going.. And last time I checked Nathenial is going into the real arms of the real Charlotte Rhoades.

Really? Chuck sold Blair for a hotel (no judgement), Blair destroyed any chance Chuck had with Eva, Dan and Blair fucking hated eachother until season 4ish, Nate called the cops on Serena's dad, she ditched him for Carter, and your argument is that DERENA have too much bad blood? Please.

She is not throwing herself first of all, she declared her interest, which was God damn brave given she knows how he feels about Blair. And Rufus has given Dan advice on Serena since AND said nothing when he saw the GG blast at the end of season 3 except 'was that my lincoln hawk tshirt Serena was wearing'? So I don't think it keeps them up at night.

I don't understand Dair shippers or Serenaters but they still exist.
Anyway, I took the liberty of defining some terms for us:
BROTHER:a male offspring having both parents in common with another offspring; a male sibling.
SISTER:a female offspring having both parents in common with another offspring; female sibling.
Sooo as far as my illogical source-the dictionary-is concerned, they are not brother and sister as neither of them share a similar parent.
Now we are not about to argue that they are step siblings, they are. Rufus and Lily are married, it's a no brainer. But they are not blood relations, and there is nothing legally or biologically stopping them from being together. And tbh this reasoning usually comes from fans unhappy with their own ships (NS, DB, although Dair should be partying right now).
I am not trying to attack or be rude, but you're not being fair to the ship. So as far as I'm concerned, I'll be backing Dan and Serena till the final episode of the show. I don't know what will happen, but I'll alway ship them.
