    i just posted a similar forum. i had no idea the information was already out there. in my defense, i'm new to this forum thing. but i do agre with most of you. the five principal actor should get equal pay ( Leighton, Blake, Ed, Chace and Penn) they are all responsible for the success of the show. morevoer Leighton's performance is most critically acclaimed. However i will say this. TV works out that way. the most popular people are the most bankable. at the time the contracts were drafted, Blake and Chace were probably the most famous of the bunch therefore the producers offered them more money as an incentive to join and the contracts have since remained unrevised. But now that Ed and Leighton own the show and Penn delivers his performances quite well,i think it's time for the contracts to be revised and for everyone's pay to be leveled.

    As for the people who are upset simply because Leighton is not getting equal pay. i think soon enough she will ( the industry is not always fair and just). Leighton will not be destitute because of it. she endorses Reebok and has a record deal. she's making movies. also her and Ed are the new face of ASK Enquired, a japanese brand.

    I think the producers are thinking likewise and will fairly distribute pay in the future. plus i meant to say that all contracts are different and perhaps their salaries depends upon how loose or close-ended their contracts might be.
