Ok, maybe it's just me being obnubilated by the joy of finally seeing Chuck and Blair together, or me simply being dumb (the Nate effect?), but I really didn't get why Carter Bazen did actually come back to help Serena. I mean, does he care so much about Serena? Wasn't she the one who actually sent him to Dubai? Why would he suddendly hire a PA, after at least 3 years (I assume the two of them were in Santorini at least 3 years ago) for finding her father (and why can't Serena do that herself?). If I understood correctly he met Mr Van der Woodseen in Dubai, but then Serena's father went away, and Carter hired a PA who discovered that the dad is now in Fiji. But why????? Some clarification please! (other than "The writers wanted Sebastian back, I may be dumb, but not that dumb)

lol maybe he is finishing what they started together in santorini. back when they were dating each other he must have been helping her look so maybe by chance he ran into her dad??? or he still has a thing for her?? which would allow him to stay a few more episodes seeing as his show the kings on nbs has been cancelled??

I think he still has a thing for Serena and what better way to reconnect than involve himself in her life again through this. This is probably the only thing that she would give him the time of day about. He gets back in on her good side after the whole Blair thing.
I am actually interested in it. Plus I want some more Carter Bazen time on GG. (For my own personal reasons!) :-)

Mmh, It's still a bit confusing considering that last time that Carter was in town didn't even bother to contact Serena because he was busy banging Blair...

This was just a ploy from the writers for the opportunity to have Carter as more of a supporting character than as a guest star. They knew that some people wanted him as a part of the cast and this was the lame SL they used to add him into the equation. The producers said that some people would have more of a permanent spot and considering Seb Stan is unemployed at the moment, I would bet he is one of them.
IMO Seb Stan doesn't faze me. I find him actually kind of ugly. But we will be seeing more of Scott, so I am happy.

Di, yeah but that was just to get back at Chuck. And we don't know, this whole reconnect with Serena could also be his way at getting back at her for sending him away. He may not have her best in his mind. Knowing Carter he is probably just bored and wants to find something interesting to plug himself into.

lol seriously. i have no idea why carter is back. especially when serena burned him. who knows though. but the fact that he's randomly placed, i can see him possibly being in a lot more future episodes.

Who cares? LOL. I want more Carter Baizen! He's interesting and is a good enemy for Chuck.
