Totally agree Daniela. But maybe they try to drag them out, not using to much chair to make them last longer? But again, you make some good ponits.

I totally agree with you Supergirl, I think the writers think that they are finally giving Chair fans what they've been wanting-for Chuck to finally show his true feelings towards the one person he knows better than himself. Last season was completely angsty and torrential in that Blair and Chuck were passionate- but until the very end, Chair fans were dying for Chuck to finally admit his true feeligns and now that he has the writers are just letting us see how much he truly cares for Blair.

I think the passion will come in cycles. We are in the adjustment phase now with all the cutesy love scenes and quote worthy lines that make us wish we had a guy who treated us the way Chuck treats Blair. I think later in the season though as problems start to arise with Blair starting to maybe take the relationship for granted then we will see the passion, the tension, the the sizzling chemistry

Oh Blair, they abandoned all of her deep seeded insecurities with her own body image, family, and academics for this shitass redundant throne crap and completely got rid of all her standards.

Well, FA, I know it wasn't what you wanted... but I was right. Blair's found her rich, clueless minions to do her bidding. College-aged prep school mean girls... guess it'll be a while before we see much growth from Blair.

I've loved the ending scene of 3x2, all of 3x3, and Chuck's speech in 3x4. Those were the scenes when I felt like they had Chuck and Blair as a couple right. But, I admit as well that I feel like there's been something missing, and I think it just might be the non-steamy sex scenes. Even in 1x10 they had Blair straddling Chuck, even if both were fully-clothed and it was majorly hot! Just give us something more than lying on their sides kissing each other. Or even Blair coming out of the limo flustered and adjusting her clothes or something. Kick up the kink! Other than that I can't complain and I don't miss the angst and I love the fluff.

It might also be because their SL are less on personal growth and more on their goals. Blair wants to be head of NYU and Chuck is venturing out on his own business. Like others have said, they aren't delving into Blair's or Chuck's insecurities, and that to me makes it less interesting. But still, I'm happy as long as Chuck and Blair are together.

I feel like some people just don't know what they want from chair. First they are angry with the cat and mouse, then they are angry with the angst and want them to be together and happy, then once they are together all happy and sweet, people say they are boring or they have lost their spark, and then when some of the angst and drama returns they want more sweet and cuteness- THE WRITERS CANT WIN!

I think maybe its not completely the writers fault with chuck and blair but more that some fans have way too higher expectations of what they want from them.

Anyway in a related topic this is an analysis someone wrote about chuck's 3.04 ILU speech that I took from another site that I thought was well written [if that person see this I'm sorry if you object to me using it its just summed up awesome!]:

I see why some might be squicked out by the puppetmaster stuff (although I find it COMPLETELY in character for both of them to manipulate with the sole intention of helping those they love. That's just who these characters are and they accept it about one another.) But I don't understand the hypocrisy criticism. Moreover, I don't think he made it about himself AT ALL. The entire episode was about him being worried about her and trying to get her to face reality and fight. It was him wanting her to regain her self-worth and believe in herself - not retreat back to the fantasy of her Constance Kingdom. (Hell, he was like that last week too with the "You're special enough on your own. You don't need some group to tell you.") Some are saying Chuck's "I'm Chuck Bass and I love you" speech was arrogance. I think they're totally missing the boat. Two points about that: First, you have to remember what it took for him to get to the point of confessing his feelings for her. Saying "I love you" is easy for someone who isn't emotionally scared and has an open nature like Nate. But not someone as damaged as Chuck. Just remember how hard she worked, how many tears she shed, how much heartache she endured to get him to tear down those walls and break through HIS insecurities (about never being good enough for her - never measuring up to her ideal - White Knight Nate - never being able to make her happy because he's never made ANYONE happy - not even his own father). He was reminding her of the miracle she performed in getting him to open up his heart and be vulnerable enough to say "I love you." In Chuck's mind - she did the near impossible: She made the Devil fall in love. His statement was actually the complete OPPOSITE of arrogance. It was total humility. He was reminding her of how incredible SHE is. As such, the opinions of these NYU types should mean nada. Blair is practically a miracle worker. lol.

Secondly, I think he used a tact that my former high school boyfriend used to use to ease my ridiculous adolescent insecurities. He'd say "I've only ever dated pretty girls" whenever I'd whine about my looks. It was actually pretty effective because the direct approach of simply trying to convince that person they are pretty is usually rejected out of hand because they've practically brainwashed themselves into feeling bad about themselves. Anyway, I think Chuck was a wonderful boyfriend this episode just like she was a wonderful girlfriend last episode. Both are trying to help the other believe in themselves and stop looking outside for validation. Seriously, if that wasn't being a supportive, loving (although granted manipulative ;-) boyfriend, I'm not sure WHAT is.

I totally understand and agree! I think the best would have been if in the premiere episode they showed a few flashback scenes of their summer while they were on the honeymoon period and couldn't keep their hands off each other. I love that passionate and intense Chair but I also really like this loving and caring Chair. I think the writers are trying to make the audience establish that what Chuck and Blair have is more than just young love - and once we are able to establish that Chuck is not going to go back to his playboy ways, and Blair *hopefully* will grow out of her immature, wanting to be Queen Bee of NYU ways; THEN they will give us hot sex scenes.

Like Grey's Anatomy - I think there were more sex scenes between Meredith and McDreamy in the premiere episode of season 6 after they got married than last season put together!

Oh and I ABSOLUTELY agree with that massive essay of an answer posted above mine. Chuck was being a fantastic boyfriend in this episode; he reciprocated Blair's actions in 3.03. SO far, I think the writers are doing a marvellous job with this season: the people who can't see that aren't mature enough to be watching a show like gossip girl. If you really WATCH it, you can truly appreciate just how well everything is set out/written.

It's just like at the end of season 1, people packed into forums complaining about how the writes totally screwed chair over by making Chuck leave Blair at the helipad...but that turned out to be the best damn thing they did because Chair was absolutely EPIC in season 2! The writers KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING! We will get the Chair that we deserve all in good time :) I truly have faith in the writers.

WOW tanya, completely agree! Same with Queen T, and most of the answers on this page! The writers are just giving us what we wanted. I think one of the only reasons people are saying they lack the passion is because we haven't seen ANY sexy scenes (as in long makeout like the limo/2x07). So you don't see that crazy sexual passion when they are having a lot of long makeouts. I think once they give us something like that people wont question it.

But I def agree how they are establishing them as a couple to be able to withstand all of the shit that will be thrown at them. We know it's coming!

i just dont think they are giving cb's real sls being a couple i think the main problem is that even tough cb is techinally together we arent actually watching them as a couple . 301 was all about them playing games, why didnt they show us their honeymoon period? 302 they had just two scenes, the bed scene was adorable but not enough for us to see them as a couple. 3x03 was good, we saw glimpses of their relationship but 3x04 annoyed me the most. why instead of making chuck and blair going together to the movies, holding hands they had to make blair goes nuts (sorry, but she really annoyed me this episode) and chuck plot with jenny? .
