I'm with you, K. I am so glad that I've found this thread and all of you. You helped me through this and I always enjoy coming to this thread and talking to all of you. Chuck and Blair are the first couple that I really shipped and that I've been obsessed with and it was overall a great experience and that is mainly because I met all of you here. I will forever love s1 and s2 of GG and I will forever love this thread. Thank you so much, guys!!!

I'm an optimist, I can't help it and I hope that I'm not getting on your nerves. It's just the way I deal with what this show has become.
Dede, you don't get on my nerves EVER!! I love that you're an optimist! (I usually am too, but not when it comes to GG) I was just saying that some people can't acknowledge that the show has really fallen and they can't see that the writers really really screwed everything up. Seriously I wasn't even talking about anyone on this thread, it's actually something I've noticed on twitter haha
I'm not really excited for the retrospective. I would be so happy if we could see one or two minutes of Leighton and Ed sitting next to each other talking about CB, just a few minutes and it would make me so happy. But I know it won't happen, so I'm not really looking forward to it.

2x13 is an incredible episode, it is GG at its best.
The music was wonderful, "signs" and "slow show" were perfect for this ep.I could go on and on about how perfect this episode is, there are a million details that I love about this ep. Episodes like 2x13 are proof that GG was once one of the best shows on tv.
:') I love this episode so so much. I can't even explain how much I love this ep!! I think it's my favorite and GG's best (I'm always between 2x13 and 2x01 though...) It's just perfect!!!! every aspect of it is. :'( I MISS THIS!
K, Shan, and Dede as always I'm in complete agreement with you :) the only thing is s5 killed by love for SB, but tbh I'm even kind of over Chair (I know. I can't help it, it sucks) so that's just how it goes. After it's all over, I'll only consider s1-2 GG and s3-6 will be erased from my mind. Because as much as I hate this show and everything about it right now, I love love love the first 2 seasons and will watch them over and over :) I'll just ignore that the other seasons even happened, because to me, they just are not the same show at all :))))

The Road to Goodbye
sC&B would love to celebrate the pairing that we adore so much and bring together the Chairleader community one last time. In 18 days we say goodbye to the show and couple that brought us together. We can’t wait, as we know there are only good things to come for Chuck and Blair in the final episodes!!!

Thank you Elise, love you, girl, you know that. And I know what you mean about twitter. This is certainly true, that some people don't want to criticize the show at all and I really can't understand that.
I'm with you, I'll rewatch season 1 and 2 because that was GG at its best. And 2x13 is a brilliant episode. God, this show had so much potential.
I love Chuck, but nothing is standing in the way of him and Blair being together. I just want the Chuck/Bart sl to end.

I'm really not a fan of short hair, or unstyled short hair at least. Leighton looked really nice at the wrap party, but I don't like her hair at all there, it just looks like someone's come along and chopped it off really carelessly. I can understand her wanting a change of hairstyle, but she suits long hair SOO much! It sets off her features so well! For me personally, I will never dream of cutting my hair before I have to, because I just love doing my hair and the variety you can do with long hair! Plus I think I would look way bigger with short hair hahaha. That's just my personal preference!

Sorry but I totally understand Chuvk and where he's coming from. You need to remember that Chuck and Blair belong together because of their needs outside of their relationship. They are the only ones who understand that about each other and its partially why they are in love. So if Chuck were to just marry Blair in this lost state of his right now it would be like Blair marrying Chuck without any success as a powerful business woman. It's not fair at all. Blair has made Chuck wait twice now for this reason. So they can be real equals. So why can't Chuck do the same?
Also, ep7 proved to me that it's not just about defeating his Dad or his anger at his Dad. It IS like Chuck said in the limo in ep1. He's doing this for Blair. It's his way of being able to man up for her and his way of finding his way in the world. In the past he hasn't treated her properly while doing this. He's trying to keep Blair away from this because if it came down to it he would choose Blair over advancing forward in his mission. So he's not allowing there to be a reason for that. I think he doesn't trust himself as well. He still doesn't believe everyone won't abandon him unless he can man up in this way. And he was abandoned by Lily AND Nate last week. It's just the thing he didn't need to experience

sorry WW but I completely disagree. Yeah, maybe they should wait to get married (until they're both in a good place with their businesses and everything) but why can't they just be together?!! I mean, he isn't even kissing her at this point. It's beyond ridiculous and I am so sick of their stupid excuses. I don't think he was really abandoned by Nate either. It didn't seem like Nate fully betrayed him, since he felt awful about it, tried not to, and confessed after (not saying he wasn't wrong but still). Lily though, is a bitch. a total, heartless, horrible wench. I just can't feel bad for Chuck because he keeps feeling bad for himself about his dad or his mommies and it's gotten so old. He needs to stop being miserable and just be with Blair and be happy. His dad makes him miserable, so why doesn't he just start his own company instead of trying to take his dad's?! sorry but I just don't get Chuck :P
