   *wouldn't this quote be problematic about blair's self esteem. chuck comparing blair to an elephant will definitely be bad for her bulimia*

   (but still.. i love him and her specially if they are together)

   That simile was weird, not because Blair's self esteam or anything- first of all he didnt call her an elephant to her face. It is just weird Chuck knows about Dumbo and uses it in his daily life lol That was really REALLY LAME

   It's clear he wasn't insulting her, she wasn't there and he was saying it in like, an affectionate way which was obvious.

   I agree with lara, rather than questioning the elephant part, question the whole thing, it was a very wierd thing for him to say not because of Blair just because it was was utterly random.

   The making Blair insecure idea is very over-analysed. Silly too.

   euhm.. it's Chuck Bass, of course he's on drugs,, remember  final episode where Lily came with a bag of something to Rufus and she said it came out of Chuck's room;) and well very much other moments proof it too xD, but hey who cares cause 'he's Chuck Bass'

   This is the more important issue here people. How does Chuck even know about Dumbo? This bothers me more than the "elephant comparison" because come on, we know that if Chuck intended to insult Blair, (a) he's done way worse before and (b) she would know about it.

   Maybe he read it in a book? He does read. I just wouldn't peg him for someone who knew about children's stories.

   But it was, most of all, a weird decision by the writers. They're the ones on drugs.

    Yes, in the original Disney movie Dumbo thought that he could only fly because of the magic feather the mouse gave him.  It wasn't until the end of the movie that he doesn't really need the magic feather to technically fly, it was just a good luck charm...or the equivalent of that.
