Dan being GG didn't make any sense Logically. BUT I love what this meant for Derena. All of the show, the whole purpose of Gossip Girl was Derena. We hear about someone going to war to win their love, this is the UES equivalent.
The shows entire story arch was so Dan and Serena can be together and Gossip Girl was the conduit through which it could happen.
This also silenced a question I have had for the past 2 seasons, Does Serena love Dan exponentially more than he loves her? This revelation blew that out the water and wiped the "Dan loves Blair" stain from my mind forever.

@ Blake#1 fan: I get what you mean, I wanted them together but this reveal is bothering more and more which each hour. I think I would have prefer GG to be Nelly Yuki, it would have made sense since she was crushing Dan so she could have done everything out of jealousy towards S and later grudge against Blair for the mean girls thing at high school, and DS could have still happen. I was fearing this reveal for a while, though, I was actually praying that Dan wasn't GG.
