I honestly don't see any comparison between Chair and Dair. Dan's a better guy for her, period. I believe she knows this, she just won't allow herself to realize or admit it because Dan is a completely different person who comes from a completely different world. She's Queen of the UES, he's Brooklyn with muppet hair and a wierd style. Yet they are a perfect match intellectually and culturally. Plus, Dan will care for her and be there for her in ways Chuck never was...Dan has already shown this over and over and over again. Once Dan finally opens up to her and Blair reads his book the following week, Blair will see light and finally open her heart and not be so scared of social standards and status quo.

I agree. Once she also is told by Dan that Serena is not a threat, that he doesn't want her. I think that will help her let go of Derena and also to see her really cares about her.
I don't want him to tell her he loves her on Monday as I think that's too soon. She doesn't even realise he has feelings for her. I hope he just says he likes her more than a friend. She begins to see everything clearly now, so she reads Inside and develops feelings for her too. I don't want 'I love yous' until much later. Even after they sleep together, which I hope will happen this season!

YES! People seem to forget season 4! Dan and Blair share everything, they complete each other intellectually and culturally! THAT'S WHY THEY BECAME FRIENDS! Not just because of his cute face or his love for her .....or because he is nice to her. Because they truly know each other.

I don't think he'll use the "l" word just yet, but he'll let her know he wants more than friendship.
For the record, I honestly do think Blair's gotta know Dan has some sort of feelings for her after finding out he wrote those vows and knowing she's the star of his book. But she really needs to hear it from him before she can even really come to understand her own feelings.

Juliette, it IS why they became friends, and in the process, Dan treated her like the Queen she really is. The way he's been there for her before dealing with his own issues, kept her secrets, let her lie on his shoulder, it really says a lot about him as a person and it's clear that this is the person Blair is meant to be with.

I though that as well. That she had to know he likes her a little bit more than friends. But Safron said she's either in denial or is clueless. If she was in denial we'd have more of an indication than that. She really doesn't know but is starting to get clues (vows, being there for her, Inside) so will start to test him.. For example the 'you care more about me that Louis ever did... as friends'. She was waiting for his reply, she gave him the perfect opportunity to say something but he didn't. Then next episode she will try to set Dan up with Serena to see if she is still on his radar, as she thinks she will always be second to Serena. Hence 'your princess is out there too'.
She gives Dan opportunities to say if he has feelings for her but he doesn't say anything so she has evrey right to think he doesn't.

Blair appears to be clueless. Honestly, she attributed the book as pure fiction and Dan just made creative liberties on her character. as for the vows, she may say that they are really good friends and he knows her well to know what would make her heart swoon. Unless Dan say something, blair will not know the truth.
If she knows that dan has that kind of feelings for her, I doubt that she would go near him knowing Serena have feelings for him.
