@Charisma I tried watching Don't Hesitate, but I didn't really like it all that much so I dropped it after I watched 1/3 of it. When I first started watching k-dramas (and asian dramas in general) I used to watch everything, now after 4 years I'm getting a lot more picky so if a drama gets boring or if I don't like the leads I stop watching them. lol

Anyway, I've watched quite a few dramas by now (including all the ones you mentioned) and some of my favourites are: 1st shop of coffee prince (which is sort of a classic drama and had very high ratings), Delightful Girl Choon-hyang (which is my absolute favourite and is penned by my favorite korean wirters - the Hong sisters who also did You're beautiful), Prosecutor Princess is another lovely drama (I really love the main actor in this one); then there is City Hall, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (also by the Hong sisters), Sungkyunkwan Scandal (if you would like to try a sagaeuk drama - period drama set during the chosun dynasty), Dream High (musical drama), the greatest love (also by the Hong Sisters, set in the show business), the princess man (also period drama - but this is more serious in tone - sort of korean romeo and juliet). I put mostly comedies since those seem to be the ones you like best judging by the ones you've already seen. ^_^

I've also seen japanese, chinese, thaiwanese and thai dramas, and while there are some good dramas there too, korean ones are usually the best.

I watched hana yori dango (japanese boys over flowers) before the korean version came out, and I agree with the others who say it's better. The actors are nowhere near as good-looking as the korean ones, but somehow all the rest is better - the story, the music, the mood. As you said it could be because I watched it first but I've watched parts of it again and I still think this one is a better version (I also don't like the korean actress who plays the lead - she makes all those annoying faces! lol). I think you should see it (it's not very long anyways - shorter than the k-version) and judge for yourself since you liked the korean one. ^_^

Btw I also tried watching Coffee Prince. I stopped though, because the episodes aren't on Viki in certain regions. But yeah, it was getting a little impossible just when I stopped. I find the main lead's brother and the brother's girlfriend to be just impossible. They're just so needlessly dramatic. And yes I know its a drama lol. Does the sqaure love angle strech out to the end?

Coffee Prince was one of my first k-dramas so I don't remember all the details. As far as I remember the leads realize they are in love pretty soon and the second couple also gets back together very quickly. Coffee Prince is actually one of the most realistic dramas there are (except for the whole girl dressed as a boy thing...and even that is better than others where it's pretty obvious that she is really a girl ex. You're beautiful) so you can imagine the rest! lolThey all tend to be a little (or a lot) overdramatic or sometimes nonsensical. I suppose one gets used to it.

Love squares are the foundation of all k-dramas. It's impossible to find a k-drama without a love square or at least a love triangle, as you might have seen. The second male leads are usually perfect but for some reason the lead never picks them. lol While the second female leads tend to be evil, manipulative and annoying! lol This is the general rule I've come across after watching almost 5 years of k-dramas. lol

@V.V: Yeah, I get what you're saying. I do love the dramatic bits, but thank god that Coffee Prince doesn't make too much out of the other couple. They just annoy me with how toxic they are to their own relationship, and others' as well for that matter lol.

I do love the sqaures and triangles in K-Dramas though. In Indian dramas they take on a life of their own and become quite disgusting. In K-Dramas the "other woman" who is usually a crazy psycho who just can't take no for an answer is usually outed pretty early. I like how the main couple's relationship isn't much bothered by her. His heart is always clear. Thats what makes them tolerable.

Strangely enough though, I usually like the "other man". He's always so unbearably sweet and charming. They can get annoying to though eh? Like in Heartstrings, the other guy who kept on trying to propose to her. Even after he knew she didn't feel the same way, he kept on saying "don't disrespect me like this. I'm giving you one more chance". Its like, you can't make someone like you buddy. And what do they expect when they never make a move, take the person out on dates, and try to get them to like them back. These guys just express their feelings, like its some big monumental moment, and expect the girl to say "oh wow, i'm so grateful you care. I'll love you back. I promise". No romance at all lol I think maybe that's why they always pick the main male lead, who is kind of grumpy.

Except in boys over flowers though. I really like Ji Hoo. I'm very satisfied with the end of that show. She kind of got to keep both guys. What a boss :D

@Snooker: yeyy. I haven't seen you here in a long time. Why am I not surprised about the lowest demo ever?

No sane person would be. And we Dair fans might be disapointed but at least we are sane.
