Dan and Blair have nothing in common - nothing!
They say opposites attract, but there's a point where the relationship has to be based on more than that, and there is nothing to show that there would be if Dair happened.
Blair was hurt majorly because of Nate and Serena, I can't see her doing that to her best friend and it would also make a lot of fans lose love for Blair by seeing them together, as it ruins both her relationships with Serena and Chuck.
Blair shouldn't get with all three of the main guys, she should be able to be friends with some and NOT date/get with them. I know Chair might not happen for a bit, and fine have her mix it up with Nate, who's an old flame so we know that happens, and Carter - who's not a main character. But Dan as well? It's just TOO unrealistic.
Next people will be saying Serena and Chuck!

I love how Dan helped her with accepting she is in love of Chuck until Vanessa got in the way :@..
but I really think that He can be a true friend, sometimes Serena advices are not the best ones because, She is not that critical as Dan is, so his advices are way better than Serena's. Blair needs a friend to talk, not only a chatting friend.
And Dan, well he needs to impove his self-esteem, so maybe Blair can help him with that, and He also needs to be more selfish, think as Dan as number one priority, and Blair is kind of an expert in that deparment

Chairforever... btw I have seen a lot of fics about Chuck and Serena... and not liking the idea at all!!... they are perfect as bro and sis love them.. they are funny just like that.

I agree gg_lover! They are great as bro and sis, it's funny and even sweet sometimes, when Chuck isn't being pervy lol, but it is another ridiculous couple idea.
Blair and Dan would be great as friends, definitely. But don't ruin THAT relationship too by making them date - cos we know they'd break up anyway. The response would be too mixed to keep them a couple, CHAIR has too many fans, so it would just make it awkward later and ruin the potential of them being friends!
I think you could get some great Blair/Dan bonding scenes...but FRIEND scenes, not romance scenes!
I don't think Blair would ever go for him, EVER. Her choices are always UES-ers, and the writers can't go completely against her character!

I wouldn't be so sure of that, I mean first of all they've both been neglected by their mothers, which in a way helped cause them to immediately latch on to people who they believe care for them, they both but up fronts for people who don't know the real them to hide their insecurities, so they never find them out, like how Blair always treats people as if they're beneath her, like she won't ever care for you at all, ever, and Dan, acting as if everything people like Blair say about him doesn't matter, and trying to reflect that abuse he gets for where he lives, and his financial situation on them, just so they don't see how much it affects him, they're both obviously introvert because of this, and on top of it all they just want to have someone who could be with them for what they are, imperfections and all, someone who fits perfectly, at least that's how I see their characters, and what I see in common between them, take it at face value.

I remember when I was a sophomore at college, and I always had hw like analyze characters on tv, stereotypes, the role of women, latin american ppl, influence of series btw teenagers, and that.. Oh god I love media! =)
You can see what is on channels agenda by the show that are aired.

Yeah GG_lover, I always find myself analyzing tv show characters as well, when I get into university I might get into studying media.
