Did Chuck do wrong or right?

but i guess it's easier to blame chuck for blair's actions.

I think a lot of the Blair fans are still mad because Chuck hurt her so much in season 2, and I'm not defending the things he did. I just don't like how some don't even try to see it from his POV or hold it against him everytime he does something bad.

Thanks guys:). As cheesy as this sounds, I really don't like hearing how people are suddenly changing ships or is in total war mode with Gossip Girl, like it's the most disgusting, badly written show in the world, not that I don't respect all the opinions, I actually agree with some of them. It's just that some people fail to see the bigger purpose that (maybe) the writers have. I mean, at least give it chance to breath, it's the 4th episode. If the FAIL continues, then by all means rant and bash and kill, i'll be right behind you:D

I am a blair fan but I got mad at Blair because she hurt him more in season 1 and 2. They both know how to hurt one another badly.

I also think that people are judging too quickly. It's only been 4 episodes, and not much has happened. And I'm happy to see Chair in a relationship for a while and not have the same drama that they had last year.

exactly. see? i love chuck and blair equally, their relationship is the reason i watch the show, and while i do agree that chuck hurt her a lot in season 2, in season 1 she was the one who took his feelings for granted the momment nate decided he wanted her back. and chuck had just lost his only parent, that he never had the opportunity to have a father/son relationship with, he was in a dark place, blair couldnt save him

WKA I love how you noticed the similarities between the 2.15 and 3.04 scenes. Good point. :)

I think the dialogue wasn't as good as in 2x14, and it could've been better. But I still manage to understand Chuck and know what he means.

Agreed. As I mentioned in the ATC thread, "win over" as a term was just...off especially if you look how they did the ILY game THROUGHOUT season 2. It was pure torture for Blair to get him to confess his feelings and get pushed away for both the wrong and right reasons. BUT, I think it fit Chuck more and the 2.15 speech was a bit more idealistic, cheesy even. :)

I'll be in the ATC thread for fear this thread might get stoned.

and that's why im enjoying their sls right now. as much as i love the love/hate dynamic, they have hurt eachother a lot, so it's nice to see them being there for eachother and having a functional relationship. i just wish we had more scenes of them

I totally agree with everyone here. I didn't interpret his actions to be all about himself. I thought he was totally selfless in that situation. I interpreted his speech as trying to get through to Blair by saying, why would she give up when she can do anything if she got Chuck Bass to open up to her and admit that he loved her?! That was basically the impossible, and Blair Waldorf did it. So, if she could get Chuck to admit that he loved her and open up, why would she give up on NYU?

Basically he was saying that if she can do anything if she got Chuck Bass to admit his feelings.

But i guess people see what they wanna see. of course dair fans will say chuck doesnt deserve her, what i really dont get because IMO dan is always judging blair. he humiliated her in episode 3x02, he didnt care that it was difficult to her to adapt on NYU, and then they say that dan understands and accet her for who she is. really?

I wouldn't say totally selfless, he did use Jenny and related Blair's problem to his own Chuck Bass-ness.

He thought he needed to be selfish to get his point across. He was also being selfish about the most difficult thing Blair has overcome, which was himself, instead of the NYU crowd.

Now if only we could see jealous-possessive Chuck when some guy tries to get with Blair...
