After watching the getting-in-the-car scene with Jack and Blair at keast fifteen times over the last hour, and the previews at least ten times, I'm thinking maybe they're talking about some revelation about bart's death or something very personal to chuck that they discovered on new year's that would crush him, and Blair wouldn't want him to go to an even crazier spiral. Who knows, it may have nothing to do with a Waldass: Part Two. It could even be about Chuck's mom or something, some whole new storyline.

For the "Blair wouldn't touch you." part...I don't have a solid prediction as to what that could be about, but I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of Jack threatening Chuck of somekind, that he's not afraid to go as far as woo-ing an eighteen year-old. I mean, look at the 2.14 preview, It made the rooftop scene look all fast-paced and heart-pounding (in an action-thriller kind of way), but it turned out to be a romantic, solemn moment between our favorite pair.

Also, I think the person giving Blair those gorgeous flowers was, indeed, Chuck. But, I think it may not be after some enormous reveal. It could be, but it could also be a scene from the start, or middle of the episode because if you check the New Year Promo with the scene in Bart's office, Blair was wearing the same cute ensemble, and it could be Chuck coming to apologize or make it up to her or Chuck inviting her to the reading of the will, I mean, when you think it through, why would Blair even be in the will-reading, and why is she the one reading it out loud? The GG producers and writers might have just overexhaggerated the commercial. But, I don't know. Anything can happen on Gossip Girl.

But that's just my opinion on the matter. I am so excited for the next episode, I can't even focus on my studies anymore!

    How promos are  created? ;)

They are taking the most intriguing moments from the show, the most promising comments, and add a music which make us hold the brief till the very next episode :) Don't you agree? I'm fully agree with GJP2 that there is no sense in trying to make the promo material explainable.  Our fantasy can lead us to anything :))

i was at first dumb enuf to believe ther promo n i was completely freaking out until i came here! thank you everybody! but  i agree with what blucky said! but this is the way i put it!

1: chuck is the guy in the elevator

2: becuz i remember one of the gossip girl cast or producers dont remember which one but i remember them sayin that there was gona b a party in one of the next episodes! so that was jack saying "we're gona hve such a good time 2nite!" to chuck maybe

3: jack jus wants control of the empire

4: blair was NOT the girl in the limo

5: it was possibly her bulimia that was discovered by jack becuz she said the exact words: "CHUCK CANT KNOW ABOUT NEW YEARS!" that doesnt sound like sex. she would say something more like "DONT TELL CHUCK ABOUT US!" OR "HE DOESNT NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!" but that wasnt it....!!!!

    think about it

    Dissecting Jack and Blair:

I was slightly worried when Uncle Bass called Blair at the start of the episode - it just seemed a little weird for this ADULT and veritable stranger to be contacting a teenaged girl like that. But I brushed it aside, told myself that Blair had probably insisted that he contact her the minute Chuck was located, that she'd probably called Jack every other day in the hopes of an update on her missing fella, so I should expect some level of familiarity. Fine - I accepted it and moved on...until our first J/B encounter. Jack sees B and bounds out of the limo like an excited little boy, "Blair! You've come to greet us!" "Not you - Chuck." Minor alarm bells started going off in the back of my brain. Why was J so delighted to see B? Why did he think she would be there for *anyone* other than C? And why did she feel the need to correct him - that she wasn't there to see *him*? At the school meeting, B is very unhappy to see Jack, and rides right over his comments to the Headmistress, defending C herself. Could you envision B stepping all over Bart - or even Lily - the same way? This smacks of her having little to no respect for Uncle Bass. How could she have formed such a quick opinion of him? She's only known him for a few weeks - if that. How much time have they actually spent together??Then there's Victrola - Jack sees Blair and, once again, appears delighted as he smarmily looks her up and down (eww!). She tosses out her "Aren't you a little old to be here?" insult which - to me - felt far more personal than the situation merited. J then rambles on about C doing the Bass name proud and grabs at her shoulder. B looks grossed out and quickly pushes his hand away. Insert "Creepy Uncle with Eric" moment, followed by B rushing off to the roof, and Jack trailing after her like an eager puppy. A second ago, Jack wasn't concerned about Chuck at all, why is he taking an interest now? Because he wants to stick close to B...?

Cue the roof scene - Blair calling Jack an idiot felt (once again) like they've had more personal dealings over the past few weeks than merely working together to find Chuck. Then the look on J's face when C/B embrace...what he's feeling is totally hidden, but it's obvious he's not happy - he's either concerned at the level of influence Blair has over Chuck, or, dare I say it, he's jealous?

Finally, the parting limo conversation - B snarks that she doesn't trust J, he counters with "do you have a choice?". He obviously has something on her or they're in on whatever it is together - and I don't think it has anything to do with bulimia. Then, her painfully-toned request, "He can't know about New Year's." You can just see the silent pleading glimmering in her eyes as she stares up at him - whatever's going on is bad-bad-bad. And his simple farewell sounded anything but by the time my head stopped spinning - his softly spoken "G'night, Blair" sounded downright intimate (though I'll admit, by this point, I couldn't help but read double entendre in practically *everything* this pair was saying n' doing).

SO! Do I think B/J have done something naughty? Possibly - heavily leaning towards probably. I agree with the person who rightly points out that B is treating J the same way she did Chuck right after they slept together - good catch, btw!

HOWEVER! I'm also in the "Blair is insanely loyal" camp, and would she really cheat on the man she truly loves? I mean, she hooked up with both Nate and Marcus, but she was trying to deny the truth about her feelings for C, so I don't believe either of them count. Even if she were lonely, upset, whatever on NYE, I can't see Blair crawling all over Jack (knowing he's C's relative or not) in some moment of weakness - she *knows* Chuck will be found/come home eventually.

Those of you guessing at Blair offering herself to Jack to enlist his help in tracking down Chuck is another good theory, and one I could potentially see happening. I could see Blair going to visit Jack on NYE, finding him knee deep in party girls and booze, asking to speak to him privately - very upset - and the two of them moving somewhere secluded. She'd ask for a progress report on Chuck, he'd tell her something vague, that he's still looking, not to worry. She'd cut in angrily, reminding him that it's been weeks, and how hard could he be looking when every time she sees him he's covered in liquor n' ladies? Jack would get all creepy, reaching out to take a tendril of her hair, saying that he might look a little harder if he had the right kind of "incentive".  ((shudder))  Definitely a squicky possibility.

I don't, however, believe Jack did anything with Blair in an effort to secure Bass Industries - after all, the will hasn't been read yet, so Jack doesn't know that he's not the main inheritor. I DO believe that Jack would stoop to LYING about him and Blair AFTER the will reading to shake Chuck up. After the rooftop scene, he knows that Chuck cares deeply for B - what better way to screw with his head AND cut him off from the one strong person fighting for his future than to cast doubt upon her loyalty to him?

    Promo and NYE speculation:

Girl in the limo - some hoochie that Chuck picked up for partying purposes after he and B fight ('cause you know there's gonna be a fight at *some* point!). At first glance, I actually thought it was Vanessa all tarted up, LOL!

Elevator flowers - probably Chuck, early or mid episode, apologizing for his behaviour (vanishing, being cruel upon his return, decorating his office with whores - take your pick) and/or asking her to be there for him at the will reading.

Chuck running away, Blair chasing after him - I'm going out on a limb and saying that has nothing to do with J and B, and everything to do with Bart's will. Something in the will upset Chuck, or perhaps there's some kind of clause - some restrictions to him inheriting that've pissed him off.

NYE - I'm still trying to form an opinion as this secret could be ANYTHING. There has been some Nate/Blair speculation, which might not be far-fetched to a certain degree - I don't see them doing anything beyond a NYE kiss as deeply connected friends, but I can't believe Chuck would give a crap about something as innocent as a kiss. Nate is, according to the New Year promo (which spans 2 episodes by the looks of it), madly in lust with Vanessa - he also knows that Chuck loves Blair. Nate wouldn't shake up his newly-restarted relationship with V, or hurt his best friend - certainly not after Bart's death. There IS, however, that one scene in that same promo where Nate (I'm pretty sure it's Nate) is punching Uncle Bass...for hitting on V? Threatening B? Or is it something completely unrelated? Curiouser and curiouser...

Gone with the Wind - to the person who asked upthread if this ended with the lovers (Rhett and Scarlet) together, the answer is NO! Scarlet spent the entire movie/book in love with another man while Rhett offered his love over and over again. When she finally realizes he's the man for her, it's too late - he leaves her with that famous line (after she asks what will become of her, what should she do without him): "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." If episode 215 is supposed to follow along, then there will be no delicious Chair-y ending next week!!

But really people - why do we want Chair together like a nicely wrapped package?! I need the angst - the drama - the great divide! Without all of that, the moments where they DO come together (like that glorious hug on the roof) aren't as special!!

In any event, now that I've effectively written a novel (it's my day off, gimme a break, lol!), I'll finish up with a 60% leaning towards a Jack/Blair indiscretion, a 30% chance of them involved in something completely non-sexual but still bad or hurtful to Chuck, and 10% belief that we're going to be totally and completely blindsided by something purely surprising.

Either way, we're in for a HUGE shocker!!  Glee!!  XD

You Go FuryGrrl! Wow! I totally can understand all of what you think might happen.. only one thing.. I don't want them to end up together like a nicely wrapped package.. however, it's better to have them go back and forth.. they have been messed up for quite sometime now.. it would be nice if they were together for one episode.. then I don't care if they mess it up again.. they always will.. just like Chuck said they would.. as for the Jack.. they did a good job with his character because just like his brother, he definitely could make a lot of people's lives hell because he has the power.. just like Bart.. I hope they don't focus most of the episode on Lily and Rufus because that whole thing just gets on my nerves.  Sorry for such a long reply but I can't get what's going to happen out of my mind! I want to know what's going to happen and it's driving me crazy that no one else has any new spoilers.. they're really keeping this one under wraps!!!!!!
