Favorite Book?

This is a (another) off topic thread (unless your favorite book is Gossip Girl), but it's quite simple.
What is your favorite(s) book(s)? Have they ever been made into movies? Or TV shows? If so, did you like the way the book was adapted?
Yeah, I was kind of bored, but it's maybe a good way to know more about you guys.

Wow...there's almost no one in here...
Anyways, my favorite books are Anna Karenina and Jane Eyre, and they just did a Jane Eyre movie with the girl who played Alice in the Tim Burton version... I have yet to see it.
Oh, and The Great Gatsby is great apart from the ending, and if I had to choose a Shakespeare book, I'd go with Hamlet.

Ummm favorite book..well at this moment my favorite book or book series would be The Hunger Games :) I have read 2/3 books and I am hooked haha. They are in the process of being made into movies and I am so excited to see them :) I'm sure I will like the way its adapted, they have chosen wonderful characters and from what I've seen are being true to the books.

oh my god yes! I'm obsessed with the Hunger Games right now, can't wait for the movie but I don't like the person they chose for Katniss but other than that I'm so excited but I still need to finish Mockingjay.
Also back on topic one of my favorite books is And I Don't Want To Live This Life it's a memoir about Nancy Spungens life written by her mother, its seriously incredible but a little difficult to read at some points but it's just so amazing.

This is really difficult... If I have to choose one it's Wuthering Heights. I love the 1939 movie.
But also Ficciones (J.L. Borges), Pennac's Malaussène saga, Les Fleus du mal, Zeno's Conscience (Italo Svevo), Persuasion, Pride and Prejudice, The Virgin Suicides (I like Sofia Coppola's movie as well)...
If I had too choose a Shakespeare book... I don't really think I can actually. Let's say Macbeth, King Lear and Hamlet.

I love The Lovey Bones, they made a movie based on the book and it didnt really do too much justice to the book. Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging, its a series of books and they are really funny! Sloppy Firsts, is a series too about the life of Jessica Darling , its a coming of age series, really good.
