I don't think that people getting along across ship differences is fake or disingenuous. It's a mark of maturity to disagree without being disagreeable. I keep saying it, but to repeat, we are all different people. We all can't be with the Dans, or the Chucks, or the Nates of the world.... Just like men appreciate Serenas OR Blairs OR Vanessa's.
I don't think people are getting past their ship differences though. Most of the conversation that I seem to see involves people agreeing with each other or people getting aggravated by and storming out after what they seem to think is an appropriate parting jab.
I'm all for calm conversation, but the moral superiority is tremendously tedious, in my opinion. And I find it patronising that people have to keep repeating that everyone doesn't have to agree. I would hope that anyone who's able to find their way to this forum would know that they don't all have to have the same opinion. We're all reasonably old here, and if people have to be reminded that everyone's opinions are valid, then what's the point of all of this, really? Are we going to send in crayon pictures to share our feelings next?

These forums are for discussing GG not for attacking others. Obviously, she can say whatever she wants on here, but it doesn't mean that it's right.
MissMarie, you won't go very far in life if this is the way you approach disagreements with others. In the end, it only makes you look bad.

since you were too stupid to realise this yourself, my post was actually defending dan as a person and had nothing to do with the fact that i ship dair. also i usually represent myself and not a whole fandom thanks very much.
it'd be a bit sad if one person were to represent an entire fandom, wouldn't it? let's take you as an example. i bet the few respectable chair fans left are cringing at everything you have to say.
because it's not about ships. it's about common sense really.
