dont get me wrong, i love gossip girl, just like everyone else in this forum.

but for some reason it doesnt seem to have its touch anymore.

season 1, in my opinion was awesome... and the beginning of season 2 wasn't that bad, and season 2 in general isn't that bad.

but for some reason, i cant seem too figure it out, it is just not the same....

    anyone else feel the same?

Yeah I agree with you.. I'm gonna finish watching the rest of this season and it better go out with a bang cause I'll have plenty time til season 3 to drop this bad habit.

What pisses me off mostly is all this build up with chuck and blair and then theres a remote chance that their gonna piss it away like nothing ever happened and end this season with them not together.  NO NO NO NO I can't deal with these types of shows again.I mean Dawsons Creek liked to killed me and I'll not go through that long drawn out process ever again. Not worth it.

And there's more but I can't stomach writin all of it.

    K there's my rant I'll move on

Exactly, I hate how they drag on the Chuck and Blair story line forever, and when they finally get to the good parts they cut us off! I mean please just give us a moment of sweet pleasure for once! But I don't want them to become boyfriend and girlfriend because that would be boring too :P but I'm just tired of these complicated plots! First deaths and perverted uncles now slutty nannies and elitist orgys! Haha, just give the viewers what they want!

Now if the writers gave you what you wanted, what's next? They are gonna have to re-use what they have, that's where the GG drama comes in. It keeps you tuned in every week.

I loved Season 1, but I actually think Season 2 is even better... there have been a lot of really intense storylines, and they've developed the characters (especially Chuck and Blair) even more. I agree that the way they draw out Chuck and Blair's relationship has been excruciating, but that's how they have to do it if they want to keep the show interesting. Believe me, I would LOVE it if Chuck and Blair just got over themselves and ripped each other's clothes off, but I've loved every single scene between them, whether it pushes them closer together or pulls them further apart. I think their whole screwed up dynamic has made the show especially amazing this season, and I trust the writers to eventually bring them together. And I CAN'T WAIT for that episode!!!!

Yeah, I like this Season 2. Well of course it has its ups and downs but I love how they focused more on Chuck and Blair more than last Season which makes me happy. But I do know no matter what happens they will be together in the long run. :)

i think they are strecthcing the show too much. Too many episodes. If there were fewer episodes the show would have been better. 20 somthing episodes are a lot to fill, also the story line is all messed up with the teachers, the death, the uncle, the nanny, the bankruptcy and all that. If I had a shoot to write an episose i am sure i could revive the storyline :D

i sooo agree! this season isn't as good

i think coz the storylines are too intense. the show just tries to make as much drama as possible. in season 1, you could watch any episode and figure out the plot but in season 2 you have no clue whats going on unless you've seen every ep.

some huge mistakes of season 2 are

bart dying. WTF was the point of that? to have a new way to destroy CB? drama?

introducing aaron. um, what was the point? once again.

dragging out CB for 17 episodes. it gets old.

making serena and dan like ross and rachel, after the writers specifically said that they wouldn't

bringing rufus/lily together the day of barts funeral. in fact, bringing them together at all. so, lily has been thinking about him for 20 year? get the eff over it

serena getting into yale before blair, blair not getting into yale. enough said.

the LOVE CHILD, so incredibly stupid and predictable and boring! nobody gives a crap!

sorry for the rant i just had to vent. i liked gossip girl more when it was simpler and you could understand it more. and no, the stupid pointless drama stuff like a loe child does not keep me tuned in every week, it makes me want to stop watching. gossip girl is getting more and more soap opera like. im gonna finish watching season 2 and if it doesn't pick up then i won't be watching season 3...

I agree with everything rawr says. Those were the major major  mistakes in season 2. It just isn't how it was in Season 1.

I don't understand why they didn't keep Bart on and worked on Lily's past institution storyline without going down the love child path. Its sick and totally ruins the whole dynamics of the show which is to focus on Dan/Serena, Chuck/Blair relationship.

When i watched every single show in Season 1, i finished each episode feeling satisfied and content with the plot. In Season 2 - apart from the first 2 episodese, I finished each episode just feeling frustrated and un satisfied. Its gotten so soap opera like when it should be a light hearted teenage drama!

I'll continue watching till the end of this season. But if it doesn't end in a good way - bye bye Season 3!
