all you guys are right.
this season is different than the past season, it's quite normal: they could not be the same (sorry, my english is very poor).
this season is more sad, and dramatic, and is definitely centred on chuck and blair, which was given being chair the most loved characters.
in my opinion, it is even too sad and dramatic. god, its a teen drama, not a greek tragedy. but anyway.
i also have to say i don't like all this chucks mother and lifus son stuff.
they could have introduced serena's father, at least nobody knows as far as now if he's alive or not, while chuck's mother was alive in the pilot and then she's magically and suddenly dead. of lifus's child..come on. lily allowed her daughter to be with dan even if she knew they share a sibling?
too unrealistic, too much drama. i actually like season 1 better.

I loved season 1. It was beyond amazing but i must say I LOVE SEASON 2 even more!!! Yes, it gets me mad when thing happen to chair but they will be together. I KNOW THEY WILL BE TOGETHER. It might be a liitle while but i promise chair will reunite

I think both seasons have been equally as awesome. I agree that they've been different but they have continued to meet the high bar they set in season 1 so i think they're both great!

one reason that i liked about season 1 is that it wasn't to unbelievable.
rich girl falls for poor boy, friend cheats with best friend, parents had old relationship, drama at school. ext.
season 2? holy shit, tooooo much in a matter of 2 eps.
someone dying, someone almost being raped, relationships being good than bad than good than b ad than good than bad than good, over and over and over again. a love child? so dumb. so so so dumb.
and also, every character they bring in, i cant stand.
i really liked when it was just the main characters and them having their own drama. i understand you can't do that forever but christ, its crazy

I re-watched season 1, and I was like "WTF is up with the second season?!". The first is much better. I agree with the thread starter, you don't feel the same now. I'm kind of sick of the show, but I will continue watching it for sure, though! I guess it's Lily and Rufus, the love child, Dan and Serena's failed try to be a couple again and Chair's boring story line(I love, I don't, I love you, I don't, I love you, I don't....) I think Chuck and Blair's games are so old now. They have basically done the same story line for these two since 1x07!

i personally like this season better than the first season. probably cuz of all the CHAIR.
