because she needs to have her own thread.
first of all, i want to say, even though she is a fictional character, she is my rolemodel.
lets talk about her character development throughout (the books) the 7 years we have read/watched her grow (and no i am not talking about Emma Watson)
because when J.KRowling wrote about Hermione she did not think of the "all-so-perfect" female lead, or the "only-love-matters" girl, she got inspired by real people, real characters and their own experiences.
Hermione's first year of Hogwarts, started out like any other girl who is scared of failure and happens to be described as "a know it all" though by the end she made friendships with both the boys and some girls, thats how she grew, she always admits her wrong doing and her faults.
Second year she grows more accustomed to Harry and Ron, and she reveals her weaknesses (being called Mudblood) and her strenght in knowledge (the polyjuice potion).
calll me sentimental or cheesy, but in these books, J.K.Rowling did show some girls (and maybe boys) that girls CAN do so many great things only if they can get over the obsticales and fears.
Hermione's thrid year is the year for her, she grows so much as a human and a wizard, she buys a cat which shows how affectionate she is (emotional growth), she finds a way to have it all academically (being in two places at once ), she is loyal, but still logical enough to know whats good and whats bad for her friends (when she told McGonagall about Harry's firebolt). she also protected Lupin's secret and that shows how compassionate she is towards the (so called) "under dogs".

PS: comparing Hermione to Bella Swan is strictly forbidden, because it would be an insult to Hermione...

Ginny is so awkward in the movies and her relationship with Harry just came out of nowhere, it seems really forced =/ Ron and Hermione though are just perfect!
I don't even know how to order my favorites because I love them all so much...
