I don't understand how people possibly think that Nate and Serena should be together, other than the fact that they are both attractive.
Nate is a womanizer who during one of his numerous sexual rampages cheated on his girlfriend to be with Serena. From the flashbacks in season 1 thanksgiving episode and the summer in the Hamptons, other than that one isolated instance, they have had a completely platonic friendship. Serena has not given any indication that she has ever had real romantic feelings for Nate. And Nate is a flake - he's been in completely in love with Blair, Serena, Blair again, Catherine, Jenny and Vanessa at various points in the show. If anything, Blair was his true love for his entire life prior to season 1, so I definitely don't think he belongs with Serena. Physical attractiveness is completely distinct from attraction and a true romantic fit.
I'm a Derena fan, so I'm sure people will criticize me on that basis, but Dan and Serena have much more compatibility and chemistry then Nate and Serena will ever have.

I agree! Derena over Nerena anyday! However, Chair is the best couple on the show. I actually like Nanessa.

Not many people like NS, Nate and Blair probably have more fans than them...
I love CB. DS and NV, (and i'm kind of secretly hoping for them to give D&V a shot, I'm curious)

nate and serena have great chemistry and really click. i dont think the show has explored the possiblilty of a relationship between them very well, and i think that neglecting that is a big mistake. not many people support this couple, but ive been a big fan since the beginning. do you remember when serena had to tell nate that she didnt come back for him? the pain she felt at saying this was so evident and true. i want to see more of these two...

i agree with everybody who doesn't like nerena i don't see how people like them so much i mean they are so predictible i mean 2 rich attractive people i mean how many times have we seen this???????? it's not love it would last like 2 days then serena would realize that she doesn't feel the same way nate feels and besides nate and vanessa really like each other i can see them going a long time same with dan and serena if their parents break up and they are left alone

Also, Serena never saw Nate as anything but a good friend. The only reason she slept with him was because she was drunk.

I don't see Nate and Serena going anywhere and if the writers did explore them together it would upset everyone who watches the show! It would be the end of Dan and Serena, and Nate and Vanessa. I think D&S are perfect together as well as N&V.

Im not a hardcore D&S fan so it wouldnt bother me at all, but if the writers do put them together I dont see it lasting very long. Its obvious that Serena will always love Dan and vice versa thats why they always come back to each other in the end. But IMO I think they need to spice up their relationship a little, not like drama or anything angsty like C & B, but just have a little more fun.
