I thought that they had a huge fanbase? Why are the ratings lower than ever?

r u seriously blaming the low ratings on nate and serena, im pretty sure a million gossip girl viewers didnt decide not to watch because of nate and serena. blame it on the crappy writing and the fact that they left us hanginf for 3 frigging months. and they do have a huge fan base which again is decreasing because of the poor writing.

I think the fact that N/S is together in the first place is the result of bad writing. Same for Danessa. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt maybe this is an elaborate scheme and they need these couples together for future episodes but at the moment both couples bomb! put them back with their rightful partners. Dan please take back what rightfull belongs to you and punch Nate along the way :P

I don't know, it could have to do with DV, NS or even cause CB don't get hot scenes.I find Gossip girl really boring now and the only thing that is keeping me watching is the Damian//Jenny thing that got going.I swear they remind me of a Chuck/Blair S1!

I'm not blaming the ratings slide on them. I just thought that the ratings would increase because people kept saying they had a huge fanbase and I thought they'd want to tune in to see them. Maybe they're fanbase isn't as big as people thought?

Exactly! lol I'm waiting for good things to finally happen with my couples but the fail that is NS and DV are distracting!

i still cant believ NS was like softcore porn and CB was like 3 seconds and then fade to black. i was beyond angry, even though i expected it. it pissed me off.

It is not, and I believe half of it is not watching the show - maybe they're not even aware that NS are now a couple. Not to mention many NS fans simply don't like what the show did to them and are shippinh other couples. Let's not forget the nice DS fans boycotting the episodes. They watch it on itunes or just DLing it for free.
