NS delusion? Really? It's just a interpretation. She wasn't talking about Dan (to Jenny) at all, and I'm not saying the idea is that she was talking about Nate, I was just being ironic with the fact that some NS had high expectations about her virginity BUT still, I repeat (and I won't get tired of it because it seems pretty clear to me and it's my opinion anyway) " if she wish she had waited for someone who (blablabla), that wouldn't be Dan, at all. He was never "someone who stood up for me and fought for me"
I just don't think Dan never stood up or fought for her as Nate did, this is not delusional at all, period.

And the end of 1x15 when he went to her, took her face in his hands and begged her to tell him the truth about what was going on...that wasn't him fighting for her or their relationship.
I guess Nate punching Tripp out for being an asshole makes Nate more amazing than anyone. It's not like any one of Serena's friends would have done that for her. Tripp is also Nate's cousin, so I think he had every right to hit him...but it's soley because he "fought for" Serena. LOLZ.

I just think Dan and Nate are really different, Dan was more judgmental and used to give up on her too easily, he did it several times during season one and on the last episode they were so ridiculous together it make me feel bad and hate the episode (since I used to ship them and Nair). It wasn't really Dan to fight for her, to stand up. He was more like "oh she's the upper east side girl, I give up, too many issues" and for times it made me doubt his feelings for her. He always had that crazy obsession, but the more he got to know her, the more he got disappointed. It's like he couldn't love the real Serenate, like he couldn't take her as she is, with the flaws and qualities, he just had the imagine of the perfect girl in his head but after every fight with her, he would fight less for her, and... I don't like it.
Nate knows her since they're kids, he was fighting for her while she was sleeping with a married man that happens to be his cousin, he insisted, he made a little scandal till there was nothing more that he could do. So a guy almost killed her and left her bleeding and Nate decided to give him a well deserved punch. I'm sorry if that isn't "cool" and unimpressive to you, but... I like it.

I don't know why anyone WOULD assume that it was. She talked about hooking up with the swim team captain her freshman year. They talked about her hooking up with investment bankers in bathrooms. She clearly had a long list of dudes even before Nate.

Who's getting pissed? I'm perfectly calm, just stating facts. And those facts aren't "NONSENSE"...but thanks for that. Notice you wrote Serenate instead of Serena. They've got you brainwashed, girl!
To me, I think it would have been fighting for her if he stopped them when they were at the bar. He let Serena go off with Tripp and just sulked there. He didn't do anything about it until the next episode on the sidewalk, but that was still pathetic. His efforts just weren't good enough. At least not enough to make Serena over Tripp. And if I were Nate and she picked my older, married cousin over me not once, but TWICE...come on now. That's why I can't take NS seriously. Nate is clearly not her first choice.
