Saddest quotes from GG
-
B: I have no one to turn to but you
C: Actually, you don't even have me
B: Enough
C: Let me be more succinct. You held a certain fascination... when you were beautiful. Delicate and untouched. Now you're like... one of the arabians my father used to own. Rode hard and put away wet. I don't want you anymore. And I can't see why anyone else would.
AND
"stop trying to play the wife" that was painful to watch

OMG Kelsey, that was so sad. I choked up on that one! Damn Chuck has some mending to do on Blair's heart.
Okay here is another one.
Blair to Chuck: All I wanted to do...was just be there. But today when you called me your wife. You made it sound like the ugliest word in the world.

Man, i never noticed how mean Chuck has been with Blair. All the saddest quotes are form him to her. He REALLY needs to do some mend to take her back. Poor Blair!!!
Well, the only justification it's that Chuck has been the worst with Blair because she is the only one who can really make him feel vulnerable and unsecure. All his nicest quotes to her are kindda sarcastic, like "I have scars in the back that can prove it" haha. Seriously, the writters need to make Chuck a little more kind without lossing his essence, of course.

MON- Chuck hasn't only been mean to Blair. In the last scene in Pret-a-Poor J, There Might Be Blood, and It's a Wonderful Lie, he was very nice to her.

I agree with j!
That elevator scene was by far the saddest scene for me

Serena: He's gone...you can let go now. Dan: I know...I don't want to.Posted 3/14/2009 5:39:40 PM #

Bad News Blair:
Blair: (To Serena) You take everything from me!!!!! Nate, my Mom. . . You can't even help it its who you are.
Pret-A-Poor-J:
Chuck: You told me you had something to say to me. . . Say it.
Blair: Why do I have to say it first? I was the one who waited on that hello-pad for you. I went to Tuscany alone. (Chuck: That's ancient history) I was the one who asked you to say it first. . .
Chuck: At the White Party? While you were on your way out with the count? Did you really think I was going to say it then>
Blair: YES!!! And when you didn't I wanted to die!
The Serena Also Rises:
Blair: (to Chuck): Nate is only friends with you out of habit. The only person with fewer friends than you is Dan Humphrey and at least his lame 90's Dad likes him, that's because he is something you will never be. . . A human being.
Dan: Not even Bart Bass hates babies. . . It's in our DNA
Chuck: He hated me. . .
In the Realm of the Basses:
Chuck: Dear old Dad? Unfortunately all I know is what he didn't want. . . Which is me. I'm Chuck Bass! No one cares. . .
Blair: I do. Don't you understand? I'll always be here. I don't want you going anywhere. I couldn't bear it. So whatever you want to do to yourself, please don't do it to me. Please.
Chuck: I'm sorry.
Blair: It's ok. . .

The quote from "Oh Brother Where Bart..." (where Blair said "I love you" and Chuck said "Well that's too bad.") was actually a parody of the ending scene from "Gone With The Wind" where Scarlet said "I love you...(boo hoo)...Where shall I go? What shall I do?" and Rhett said "That's your misfortune...Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn..."

So, although sad, after watching the scene several times I caught it immediately, so I figured he was just saying it out of grief of the moment.
As faras the rest of the quotes, I agree that some of the saddest were when Chuck disparagingly called her his "wife" and then she told him it was "over" because of that.
I'd figured that they'd reunite after a few episodes/weeks, but it has been awhile now, I agree.

Fan75. . . You are totally right. Chuck and Blair are the modern day adaptation of Rhett and Scarlett. There was another reference to Gone With the Wind in the episode Never Been Marcused:
Blair: Your plan to ruin me totally backfired. Turns out Marcus' mommy is even sicker than you are.Chuck: You got along great?Blair: I think she recognized herself in me. Or rather, I recognized something in her.Chuck: I don't follow.Blair: All you need to know is, you lost. It was a solid effort.Chuck: Tomorrow's another day.Blair: Good night, Chuck.

In one of the saddest scenes of the first season nothing is said at all. It's in Blair Waldorf Must Pie. Nate sits on a bench by a wall, pulls out his cell phone, and opens the contact list. He clicks on Blair, thinks for a while, scans down to Serena's entry, thinks some more, and in the end doesn't call anybody.

Blair: Just because we can't be together doesn't mean I don't love you.
