Scarter/Chair Parallels

Wow...I'm surprised no one mentioned how their storylines were almost identical at the end of this episode.
And how both Carter and Chuck want to be respected by the ones they love.

I'm confused.
Can you actually articulate this opinion?

Yeah I'm kind of not getting it either...

Funny thing is, first episode I actually liked Carter is his last.
Scarter turned into something really beautiful, strong and interesting. Always been a Serenater, but after this episode, I can't say I'll always be. I'm not anymore, actually. Carter was amazing, Nate sucked.

Scarter and Nate storyline was really hard to follow and very pointless in the end.

"Because without the people you love most you can't help but feel all alone in the world."
(Shot of Chuck to shot of Carter.)
With Chuck this line is obviously referring to Blair and with Carter it's referring to Serena.

To explain my first point Chuck told Blair that he knows she doesn't respect the people she manipulates which basically means that he thinks that Blair doesn't respect him.
Carter told Serena that he would rather have her hate him than feel sorry for him.
Both of them want the women they love to respect them. Chuck and Carter both have a lot of pride.

Honestly I think chuck is just as over NYU queen storyline as the fans are.

I can understand Chuck being upset and the NYU storyline is getting ridiculous. But at least Chuck didn't overreact and break up with Blair.Carter did though. He could have found another way to proove(to himself and Serena) that he is holding responsibilty for his actions.I guess Carter is way more impulsive than Chuck.so thats probably the reason why he reacted the way he did.

I'd still like scarter to sort out things properly
