season four?

    I know we're only on episode 12 of season 3, and the ratings on the show have been pretty bad so far, but do you think there will be a season four or do you think that season three is gossip girl's last season?

    Sorry if they've already announced a season 4 or something, cause if they have i havne't heard about it. But anyways if it hasn't been announced, what does everyone think? Season 4 or no season 4?

   I remember reading somewhere that it's most likely that gossip girl will be picked up for season 4, and although the average rating is like 2.5 million keep in mind that for a network like the CW that is pretty good. If any show on the CW is going to get the axe it'll probably be melrose place and I'm hoping life unexpected for giving us this longgggg hiatus. On a last note, I've also heard that this season is contract renewal or something. The show intended to go for 6 seasons, but as to how many seasons there will be is yet to be determined. My guess is 5.

   I hope season 3 is not the last season! I remember Blake said in an interview that the contract had them signed for six seasons..but I dunno anything can happen.

   Gossip Girl will have 6 seasons. Like it or not...I mean the original 90210 went on for 10, why can't we be that lucky? I don't care what the ratings say, or how crazy I sound, Gossip Girl WILL...MUST have six seasons. End of story.

   no, it will go on only 4 seasons if it goes the way producers and the cast plan, they said so themselves in rolling stone interview.

   *twitches* Laura, this is not the O.C. I don't see why Gossip Girl couldn't possibly go more than four seasons. Not to bring the books into this...okay fine. I will. The books had 13 in the original series, 10 in the it girl spinoff and 4 in the carlyles spinoff. Obviously the writer had faith and wanted the series to continue, even if there was gonna be a tv show based off of it that would possibly mean competition. Now why can't we have faith and believe that the writers will make the show go on for 6 seasons? Forget the friggery that we've been having early season 3, obviously it's improving and fans are happy about this...
