   only watched a couple of episodes of the OC, but I see the resemblence! The geek & the popular girl, the last name calling.. tho I'm definietely not an OC expert.

   Dan & Blair could never be as great as Seth & Summer.  But I do agree with you, they are extremely similar. 

   Seth- reads comic books, unpopular, and doesn't have many friends at school.

   Dan- writes stories, unpopular, and doesn't have many friends at school.

   Summer- super popular, has many friends, and bitchy.

   Blair- super popular, has many friends, and bitchy.

   Both couples also have dark brown hair.

   Wow there are alot of similarities. I gues we'll just have to wait and see how DB are as a couple (if the become one) to see if they do have that passion. But so far just as them being friends they do have that hilarious banter and have many similarities with Seth & Summer.

    no surprise you see parallels...SS and JS are terribly unoriginal.  They repeat storylines in GG all the time, it's no wonder they're drawing inspiration from their previous successful series. I like how there's lots of fans gushing about how "we did it! we got the writers to do DAIR!!!" when in reality, GG was going in the crapper, so SS/JS decided to rip off a couple from a show of theirs with successful ratings...for a while anyway.

    Don't be shocked if Blair suddenly overcomes her selfish, vain tendencies, and decides that she needs to take a bus trip around the country to save the earth.
