   Can I state an observation.. I'm perplexed by the comradery that Derena fans have with Chair fans. I know the sole purpose in uniting was the joint hatred for Dair.. Yet what I found peculiar was the fact that most Chair fans have genuine hatred for Dan (regardless of Ships); so how can you guys look past that? Is it simply a case of befriending one enemy to take out another? Anyway it makes me ROFL when I read fake comments written in the chair/derena forums, that they want chair and Derena back together, cause lets be honest none of you give a fuck about the others ship..especially the Chair fans who despise Dan how could they honestly give a shit about Derena.. It's perpestorous and the bullshit had to be called out.

   If I may offer another perspective, I personally don't care for Dan anymore and so no I don't ship derena, however I did once upon a time and could possibly do so again if done right. Having gotten to know many of the derena fans well, many chair fans just want to wish them well and hope for their sake that their ship comes in.The shipper camaraderie was just that, many derena fans visit our thread regularly and are lovely, some friendly Rufly and dair fans also come by and I think you will find that all are made to feel very welcomed.

   There are still a minority of Chair fans who like and even prefer Derena. I'm one of them... Then again, I don't hate Dan. I like all of the characters and think its a shame that some fans bash fictional people, LOL.

   There are also some Derena fans who dislike Blair, although GG fans across ships seem to think the girl walks on water... something I found so super odd! I like Blair well enough but think GGers often have this weirdly distorted view of her.

   I am a Chair fan. While I dont actively ship Derena - I support them well since s2 when I realised I only like Dan when he is with Serena and he is the one who really keeps her grounded .. and I think Serena craves that.. 

   @ Liz: Actually many Serena fans hate Blair or dislike her. But through the seasons she has become more popular than Serena and with the ship wars I guess many converted into Blair fans. I am a Blair stan- Lol.. always have, always will be..

    It's funny that with some of these ships the fans lean to liking one person more than the other..I believe with Derena I found Serena to be held to a much higher level than Dan, same goes for Chair, as most hold more regard for Chuck than Blair. With Dair it's Dan over Blair... Doesn't seem like an equal partnership to me, so why ship couples at all?
