Something that's always been amusing to me is watching 1.12, knowing that Serena broke into the pool, that Chuck knows this and took the key to protect her, and then seeing how calmly he puts up with Dan chastising him to "tell the truth". Then later when he finds out Dan pressures her to turn herself in without even a moment's pause ("I'm sure Miss Queller will understand") whereas Chuck goes to Bart to get her out of trouble. That episode was the beginning of me thinking Chuck seemed to care about Serena a hell of a lot more than Dan did.

idk about the key thing, but i do think he cares a lot about her, that's been pretty clear this season. haha. im biased too because i really hate dan when he is serena's boyfriend, all he does is judge her, girl cant even be herself.

yeah you can definitely tell chuck cares for serena. i absolutly love dan, but you're right, when he was dating Serena he was super judgemental towards her with everything she did. i probably would have slapped him a few times if i was her. lol

i usually dont care about dan, but when he was dating serena i couldnt stand him, i think both caracters are better when they are not together.
the gif is amazing, we need more scenes like this

I think season 3 needs way more c and s scenes

OMG. I definitely agree with you on that! Like, inbetween the episode, I actually thought that it was Blair who stole the key and Chuck was protecting her. Was really shocked that it turned out to be Serena, but it was very caring of how Chuck would protect her. :)

Oh yes! Very random, but isn't the scarf both Chuck & Serena's signature? Like, for Chuck, in Season 1 & 2, before he changed into Bart's signature tie in Season 2, the scarf has always been his signature. Then in Season 2, when Serena became Queen S for a while, the girls wore Scarfs instead of Blair's signature Headbands. I love how they had the same signature wear!
