The cast of Gossip Girl are reportedly locked in feuds over their fame.According to Heat, the stars of the show have been struggling to get along."There are some huge personalities, and that doesn't always equal happy families," a source claimed. "Leighton [Meester, who plays Blair] and Taylor [Momsen, who plays Jenny] are on extremely frosty terms since Taylor slammed Leighton's pop career - she thinks she's cooler because she has a rock band."Blake Lively, who stars in the show as Serena, also reportedly has a fragile relationship with Meester."Once Leighton started getting more attention for her style and her pop career, she started to distance herself," the insider explained. "She's reluctant to speak about the other girls in interviews."Meanwhile, Chace Crawford (Nate) and Ed Westwick (Chuck) are said to be facing problems in their friendship."[Ed] and Chace are friends, but it can get competitive," the source said. Damn straight. I don't remember Taylor describing Leighton's music as anything other than "awesome". Blake and Leighton have never been up for the same roles, so there's no competition between them. I can't imagine Ed and Chace having a big competion either.
It's interesting that Heat just quote a "source" without giving any indication of what position this person may be in to have all this insider information. it could be the Silvercup FedEx guy for all we know.

I hate, hate, hate these tabloid stories. Just because they are co-workers doesn't mean they all have to be friends, and just because they are all not besties doesn't mean they hate each other. Sometimes people who spent a lot of time together get tired of each other and it's only normal for them to have other interests and want to have some "me" time. Truth be told aside from angsty teen Taylor all of the other actors have really great personalities. They are all down to earth and friendly and kind of cool. So I have a hard time seeing them being at each other's throats. I have especially hard time believing the Ed and Chase drama. Both guys are super hot and they both have very different styles, so I can't see Ed envying Chase any time soon.

I think they all respect eachother and probably consider eachother friends but first and foremost they're coworkers. I love all my coworkers to death but that doesn't mean I want to hangout with them all the time. They were all brought into this situation, they didn't choose eachother and I think it's naive to think they all go out after work and hang out. I'm not saying they don't ever hangout but I don't think they call eachother on days off to see how they're doing, you know? That said I don't think they hate or envy eachother.
I know it's kind of sad to think that way, look at "Friends" a tv show about people that are the best of friends, it's hard to find out that they don't actually go to a coffee shop every night and chat.
