   Um...you could get answers from watching the show. :/

    

   But, I'm thinking the only explanation for your not know this is you haven't watched the eps from after Bart died for whatever reason. Jack appeared on the scene right around the time Chuck went all self-destructive. He slept with Blair, tricked Chuck out of his inheritance, and tried to rape Lily before he got sent back to Australia. Now he's coming back to cause more trouble.
