there's some theories about the chuck's mommy situation, and the jenny virginity situation, and the jenny/nate/serena love triangle situation. and i was thinking that it seemed like maybe after tihs stupid hiatus is done gossip girl's season 3 won't be so bad anymore? i mean with what we've heard, in my opinion, it actually sounds sort of interesting and not full of stupid drama like a threesome.

maybe this is just my gossip girl fan inside of me scraping around for some hope for the show but, i dont know it does sound generally interesting.

i guess it depends on how they handle the situations? they could do it really well or really bad, and knowing the writers...well who knows.

Im with you on the optimism on the show as i think it has gotten generally better as the season has progressed. Yes there is some question over how they will handle storylines that seem unplausible [Chuck fake/real mummy] But i still have hope especially since 3.12. Do i think the writing will become completely perfect after the hiatus- no. But i accept that GG is not academy award winning writing anyway, and choose optimism and faith in the writers that they can keep the show interesting and enjoyable. I have hope that these upcoming storylines will be a return to an exciting Gossip Girl!

I think that the upcoming storylines have a really good prospect. I have just one big fear.

Everytime GG has a big suprise, OMG part or,, well anything big. we know it even weeks before the episode will air. So my fear for after the hiatus is that the storylines will be way better but that we will know half what will happen anyway.

^^ I do beleive that spoilers do detract from the viewing of an episode and your enjoyment of said episode. I mean if you know everything that happens your not really going to find it that enjoyable when it comes time to watching.

The thing i loved about season one was being constantly surprised by things that happened, like chair limo scene, serena killing someone etc And i think this was because i didnt go on GG spoiler sites or fansites at that time so everything i viewed was freash. Where as in season 2 and 3 ive praticuarly known the general plot of every episode thanks to spoilers and forums. It kind of make scenes feel anticlimatic- like the ILU scene in 2.25. Its a double edge sword really. I mean you wanna know whats happening but you dont. LOL

So you raised a very interesting poit :)

I am seriously thinking about going a month about spoilers some time next year, and seeing how I feel different when I watch the show. Alot of other shows I see hints of spoilers, but it feels like for Gossip Girl they just release so much more.
