Can I just say that I can't believe that this is the storyline 10 eps in? Blair being the pathetic loser at NYU and Chuck being paternalistic and kind of 50? Seriously, I must go vomit now. Has writing ever tried SO HARD to sink a ship? It's unbelievable.

i also LOVED dan bragging about his threesome, very in character for dan, not only doing it but especially bragging about it!

If there was one thing wrong with that scene, it was Dan bragging about the threesome, and IMO it was OOC.

how is dan OOC? you guys are complaining that chuck is acting way too old, well, i think dan is acting like a typical 18 years old. the boy just had a treesome, of course he is gonna be all proud of himself and tell his best friend. boy is in college, having fun, maybe he will regret later but i dont think it's OOC for a 18 year old to experience and try new things.

Margaux was being sarcastic on the Dan thing, FA. :) I just know that, because I know her and she knows that is OOC for Dan.
I already know what the next 15 episodes will be like. Blair being a loser at NYU. That is apparently the through line of the entire season. Yeah, I'm just raging now. Sigh. I need to get some sleep.

IDK, it's just of my opinion that he wouldn't brag about a threesome, and that maybe after the novelty and drunkeness wore off, that's he may even be a little embarassed by it.
But I guess I could see how, and most importantly, why he's be proud, I just don't see why he'd gloat.
It's not as if I believe it's a huge, persistent problem within Dan as a character and the show, certainly not at this point.

Sorry, Larissabrasil, I didn't mean to ignore your question. I think the fact that Vanessa is involved in the threesome (Dan's bf) made it feel really off to me. Because that is some serious repercussions in his life, and this is Dan "Sex is like Art" Humphrey...and I think even if Dan sometimes behaves like a teenage boy, he usually tries not to talk like one. Again, my reading of Dan.

thanks jkay. yes, i was being sarcastic, how else can we bear watching this show? maybe other's can, but i don't. this is episode 10, right, so we're almost half through the season...
i'm so annoyed and speechless, i think a lot of people here lost their words to talk about this show. i don't even know if i'll be able to join your headband-project, first i have a lot of thing going on in my life right now and second i don't believe that anything at this point can help to save this show. i really doubt that the producers will admit their failures and listen to your advices. but please, i don't want to discourage you, i hope i'm wrong and this show is to be saved. i'm just having a hard time right now in believing it. sorry for my rant!.

Oh, Margaux...that's OK. We know it's a forlorn hope...I just love your POV is all. I't snot *my* project at all, I am just an admirer of it.
Oh, you know I have no objection to rants...but I am going to get some sleep and regret watching the sneak peeks.

I agree with whoever said early on in this thread that people need to calm down and stop overreacting. I think if some people have reached the point that they cant watch gossip girl without being able to see anything positive in the show to the point of actively trying to turn people off who do still like the show then prehaps its not the show for them anymore. Yes their is definite need for improvement in some areas but overall I think it is still an enjoyable show.
Remeber that GG is suppose to be a guilty pleasure teen soap not an academy award winning film. Its ment to be for entertainment not argument and psycological debate. I think some people need to try and relax when they watch the show and not think about it to hard. I mean just about all the storylines in this show since it started have been unrealistic, non of these kids act the way they would really act in the real world- but this is fanatasy not reality. Trust me there are far more important things to get worked up over then whether its realistic dan would be bragging or chuck being a legitimate businessman.
As for the sneak peeks, the dan nate one was funny, the chair was cute but I think its about damn time we saw some payoff and not them just talking about their hot sex life, and Im looking forward to seeing the Lady Gaga play and hopefully Blair pulling something off for once with this play. I hope she gets some success from this so she wont be so down in the dumps like she has been since starting NYU.
