Acting Like What?

MC, me too. This whole season has been Blair trying to figure out what's going on, trying to move on and getting pulled back in. I wasn't in love with the scene like everyone else was (because I don't think that's how Chuck's actions have been presented since 2x16, and now they're just doing damage control) but I was glad to see that addressed.

JKay, once again I agree with you.  I had actually hoped Blair had moved on and I didn't want to see her expose her feelings yet again.  So it frustrated me that she gave Chuck another chance to tell her his feelings.  I was surprised she addressed this issue with him again.  Which was kind of risky since she knew about the Elle fling from Carter and she saw him kissing Vanessa at the party.  I have still been waiting for her to address those issues with him.

Was it just me, or did Ed sound hot when he said "Acting like what"

it was a sad scene but I kept thinking about how hot he looked

I know Ed did look really hot.

But what I was really thinking about during that line was how choked up Chuck seemed.

If only we could have heard what he had to say, i mean i think the point would have been the same but he would have been a lot more gentle to try and protect her. When Blair asked him point blank, she was just looking for an answer, not an explanation, so he answered the best way he knew how.

Goshhhh this scene broke my heart, but it was crucial to show that they both truely love eachother<3

MC, yeah, and once again I agree with you. :)  For me at least, the new "amnesiac" GG isn't going to work. They did enough damage 2x16-2x20 that I need to see them 1. At least address the Elle/Vanessa thing directly with Blair or 2. slowly building them back next season, where we actually SEE Chuck's feelings for her or 3.  have Blair actually turn him down when he comes clean, because she feels she can't trust him, and stick to it for 2 eps.

The writing has been so imbalanced that now, even when I do think it's in character for Blair to put herself on the line as she is the bravest of them (as Chuck gets the edge in cool manipulation), it's not working for me.  All I can think is that they were actually planning on NOT doing Chuck and Blair, figuring it was the Chuck part of the dynamic that mattered, and have gotten a rude awakening. Well, you writers are the ones who screwed it up, and although this is a minority opinion, they need to put the time and resources into fixing it rather than pulling out this "deus ex machina" of 'oh! he was always just afraid of hurting her!' Because the Chuck I saw 2x16-2x20? The last thing he was afraid of was hurting her.

I am happy to accept the writers' bonus gift of no Vanessa however.

"I am happy to accept the writers' bonus gift of no Vanessa however."

JKay, me too ~ the absence has been great!  But then I almost wish there was a scene or something that showed there was ABSOLUTELY no interest on either party and that was the end of it.  I just keep having this feeling that the writers are going to make this "thing" between them and we are going to have to feel it when they finally do come in contact again.  That is the one storyline that I wish they NEVER did.  And I would feel the same way about Serena or Jenny.  For me that was one of the appeals of Chuck - ALL the girls avoided Chuck, except Blair and that was because Chuck wouldn't let her avoid him.

Good three points! I hope the writers address them, they are certainly necessary if GG is going to become realistic again.

And I don't think Chuck has ever been afraid of hurting Blair either.  He has been doing that well since Season 1.  It almost come naturally for him.  So in Season 3 I better see a Chuck that can finally learn how to put Blair's happiness first and he learns to be happy with her.

It's so sad when B tells C "as miserable as you are" because it's the same thing Jenny said to him in 2.21 (maybe he remembered the "you'll screw up that too" convo)... My poor little Chuck!!!!!!

    *tears*

Chuck told Nate and Serena he loves Blair, and Jenny knew about it too.  Why is it so hard for him to say it to her, i mean it's like he's already said it to half the cast.
