ask ausiello; blair's bulimia and carter's return.

i dunno if it already got posted, sry if it already did im too lazy to check. anyways no link just go to ew.com and then to the ask ausiello q's spot. It basically says that B's bulimia will only be brief and if you blink you might miss it also carter's return has to do with serena's daddy. Finally i'm more interested in b's eating disorder which will finally be adressed, took em long enough. So wat u guys think?Posted 3/11/2010 1:47:20 AM #

They really need to do a large storyline on Blair's disorder..make Chuck be there for her.
As for Carter's return - can't wait!

Why can't they explore this fucking eating disorder? Don't they dare because they know their writing is cheap and crappy and they couldn't handle an issue with that much depth decently?
Does "miss it when you blink" mean it's something like "pieces of Blair all over the wall"?

I don't want a brief SL on Blair's disorder. It's only been a brief part of the show and I think it would be interesting to explore it again - properly. They would need to do it right, not just throw it into an episode and have it gone as quickly as it appears.

Maybe they are setting it up for next season. Who knows.

I hope that Chuck will be there for Blair :)

I hate the fact that they portrait bulimia as something lightly as "A moment and wohosh - it's gone".
Bulimia is like an addict that comes back when you're weak or stressed or you feel powerful enough to take control about (at least that's what you think, you take it lightly).
They should have brought it back in 2.14 when Chuck is so mean to Blair and not now where she has grown up strong. And I hate the fact that they'll do it just as a moment.
I can picture it already: either she's standing in a bathroom and starring at the toilet until someone, most likely Serena calls her.
Or she starts to eat fast and then is stopped or stops herself.
Either way: it sucks. They should have drop it full or bring it back as an entire SL.

I hope that you're right. I have been waiting forever for them to bring this back up. I really want them to do a SL with Chuck being there for Blair with this (especially since it's always Blair being there for Chuck with his problems). Plus I don't like that it's just gonna to be like a moment of it... I felt like last time they went through it way unrealistically fast, and hoepfully this won't be the same. Maybe it will let us know that this is going on in background with her all the time?

I don't like Blair as a bulimic! Blair to me is the one level headed character in the show. She can be b*tchy but she at least has her head screwed on straight and isn't just flowing with the wind! When everyone else on the show starts acting like a 2 yr old it's Blair that tells them to grow up! She can't be the one with the problem...who will act mature enough to save her?

I agree, it could be an interesting and dark situation, that could give Chuck the opportunity to support her, like she supports him with his family's problems. Much better than the stupid and dumb NYU'S SL.

Well, if they are giving us hints, may be for a reason. I think bulimia could be a good SL for Blair, this season, until 3x12 she was only being used as comedic relief, they need to give her a better SL.

Blair: Just because we can't be together doesn't mean I don't love you.
