Question: Will you marry me, Ausiello? We can watch Gossip Girl and hope for Dair together. In the meantime, what can you tell us about the Valentine’s episode? —Alice Ausiello: Dan finally opens his heart in next week’s Valentine’s-themed episode, and Blair has a surprising reaction to his catharsis. Or not, if you’ve seen the photos floating around. Oh, and there’s a significant death coming up later in the season. (That’s what we journalists call “burying the lede.”) As for your proposal, my answer is… well, that’s one secret I’ll never tell.

So, any suggestions who could be the "lede" that dies?

We do know that the two JS and SS plan to make the 6th Season all about Blair and Serena so it's none of them.

My guesses are:

a) Dorota

In childbirth. That could be a totally messed up way of throwing Chair right back in the game later. It would be dramatic AND idiotic enough of a storyline, no?

b) Rufus

There's also an Ivy spoiler somewhere that she's a force to reckon the UES. Maybe Rufus will go look for the poor kid from the Trailerpark and it will happen to him what happened to Bart: He gets ONE important SL and has to die immediately afterwards.

c) Lily

Cancer could come back and all. With that happening, I could see why Blair could leave Dan. With Serena having to bury her mother AND see her best friend dating the love of her life - that's a bit much. So that's what could break off Dair, when Blair decided that their friendship is more important and she wants to be there for her friend.

Cece dying wouldn't necessarily be catastrophic, unless she is rendered broke by the time she dies and the van der humphreys are living in a squalor. my guess is one of the core 5. isnt far fetched, considering they killed of Marissa in the OC. these schwartzs have a morbid fascination with their characters. but if they kill Dorota, or Blair-Chuck. I swear to god I will literally kill someone in the writing department. Kill off Jenny or Vanessa or someone. I will be faux upset.

Cece is not a lede. She'd be important for the spinoff that will never happen and all. But not for the show. That wouldn't cause much of a drama, would it?

As I said, they already told that they'Ll make Season 6 all about Blair and Serena. So if anyone, one of the guys has to die. I would mourn Nate a lot. But right now, to me, a Chuck suizid thing would seem totally possible.

I wouldn't be upset. Ed did so well in J.Edgar. I want to see more of him as the always furious or upset Chuck Bass character.
