I read on another site that Dan and Blair will be playing leads opposite one another in an upcoming school play. They sited a Stephanie Savage interview where she said this presents an "interesting conflict on both sides."
Any thoughts/speculation? I'm thinking they are playing characters with some romantic association which perhaps prompts jealousy from Serena, Chuck and/or this teacher who Dan may or may not be involved with at that point. I think it could be interesting depending on what the relationship statuses are at that point.

Ok this is what I think will happen:
Dan and Blair are both casted for the leads of the play. Dan and the new teacher have something going on. Blair soon finds out about their love affair and she blackmails the teacher so that she will receive an A instead of a B on her paper...
That's what I think will happen, but of course not on the next episode. I am probably wrong but once again I am just guessing. But I can't wait to see what really happens because it sounds very exciting and compelling. I mean its Dan and Blair, how interesting can it get? It sounds like its going to be one funny episode!

Stephanie Savage said they play love interests and she laughed when she said it. I 'm thinking it'll be pretty funny...they're great as frenemies.

I AGREE I THINK THIS STORYLINE WILL HAVE THE BEST MOMENTS ON GG. YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THAT DAN AND BLAIR HAVE SOME CHEMISTRY, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE TRYING TO BE NICE TO EACH OTHER. TO HAVE THEM ACT OPPOSITE EACH OTHER IN A SCHOOL PLAY IS GOING TO BE HILARIOUS. I WONDER IF THEY HAVE TO KISS EACH OTHER. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! IDK IF IT'LL MAKE SERENA OR CHUCK JEALOUS...BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT I HOPE BLAIR AND DAN BECOME GOOD FRIENDS AFTER THIS.

They have friend chemistry and I hope the writers don't try to turn it into something else, especially since Blair ultimately is very loyal to Serena and protective of her when it comes to her relationship with Dan (even if she dislikes him).

YEA I AGREE. BLAIR AND DAN HAVE THE POTENTIAL OF HAVING A GREAT FRIENDSHIP BOND. REMEMBER IN SEASON 1 "BAD NEWS BLAIR". DAN WAS THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY CONSOLED BLAIR AFTER HER FIGHT WITH SERENA. (THE HALLWAY SCENE WHERE THEY TALK) AND HE HELPED HER WHEN SHE WAS TRYING TO SEDUCE CHUCK.

This is my prediction:
I think that the new teacher will tell Blair that she might put her an A if she participates in the school play. She wants her to because she has a thing for Dan and totally wants him to get in a fight with his girlfriend. And who's better than Blair??!! B might even force him to give her better kisses to earn her grade even if she hates it.
I don't think Chuck will be jealous at the begginig. I believe he might even tease Blair about it. How she has to pretend to be deeply in love with Lonely Boy

Juicy, juicy, juicy! It'll be so refreshing to see a new pairing and a fascinating plot about to launch off. I bet that play will create catastrophes, conflict, drama and mixed emotions all in one. I've gotten a bit tired from the on and off couples that they show in GG. I can't wait to see that episode!

I don't see romantic sparkle when they're together...i saw it with Chuck even before they hooked up...I could see sexual tension b/n them but with Dan? Nah...nada..just friendship and hate.
I agree that it could be some sort of extra credit thing Blair has to do to get an A in the class...I don't know why Dan would do it though.

Teacher is only on for 3 episodes (like every guest character...gosh I'm getting sick of them), so next week, 2/2's episode and whatever comes after.
