If those are actually comfirmed possiblys.. It would probably be Bart Bass out of the bunch.

1.Georgina-No she already is off the show.
2.Nate-it kinda would make sense. no offence all his fans, but he is BORING. But still i don't think so, cause cw needs to keep his fans.
3.Rufus-No in some reasons writers keep goind about he and lily (in my opinion they are so last season). And in this case tehy should bring back Alison, which they won't, cause she is off the show
4.Vanessa-It's possible, as she isn't popular in fans (i don't get why, i think she is A M A Z I N G).
5.Bart-I think he would be the WORST choice. I think hat between him and Chuck there coud be a great storyline, of course leaving Chuck with no parents is easier way as then there would be heritage problem and everything. I think that there is the point. Chuck is left with empty hands, and with that storyline hey can go on hole season. Plus noone likes him. Except me, i think there is smth about him.

Vanessa- too obvious in a way, Just like Bart. She needs to develop and Dan will more than likely end up with her.
Nate- Never gonna happen. They would jump the shark with this one.
Rufus- They don't use him enough to have this happen.
Georgina- This would be cool. she's a major player in a weird way. She has dirt on everyone and you know she has dirt on Dan and Vanessa that they don't even know she knows about!!! Plus it would send everyone spiraling. Plus, she does need to seek revenge on Blair aand Dan and that hasn't happened yet.
Bart- Way, way, way, way ,way to obvious, and I don't think it's gonna happen. 2.14 or 2.16 has Dan writing a strory on Bart's life so he can't die just yet. And Chuck has to seek some revenge for that. but it would make for an interesting plot plus it leads the way for Chucks Mom to come back. I'm sure with a family of her own and eveything. I think Bart made her go into hiding or she went on her own so to see her come back would be nice for Chuck.

If Dan is writing his story about Bart's life on episode 14 or 16 than that is a huge hint that it will probably be Bart dying. I remember reading episode scenarios saying blahblah will learn a secret about Bart. Well maybe he has a disease or knows he is going to die or something?
Maybe after the funeral and everything, Dan decides he will use the story of Bart's life to get publicity or something. It could be positive or negative. Chuck and Lily could fight over who gets what and they could do a storyline with Bart's will or something. Eventually Chuck will be forced to live with someone since he is a minor and only 17 (i think that makes sense). So since Lily is now his mother thruogh marriage he must live with her. Lily and Rufus could become close and eventually move in together or possibly wed? This would start a Chuck vs. his new stepbrother Dan. And Dan would be related to his first love. Sounds out there and cheesy but it could happen.
Bart will probably be the most likely to die. He is not a main character and his passing won't effect the show negatively.
Nate is too popular a main character and has upcoming storylines with Jenny,etc.
Vanessa is a main character aswell and has upcoming storylines with Chuck,Nate and distancing herself from her close friend Jenny because of Nate. Although she doesn't have as much fans as others (i like Vanessa, but i've only just started reading the books) and the writer of the books is disappointed with what she has become.
Rufus is another possibility but I doubt it would happen.
Georgina would be pointless like said above. Why bring her back for like one episode just to kill her off.
And to the poster above, Chuck's mother died while giving birth to him.

And i also think Rufus definately won't die. What would happen to Dan and Jenny? Their neglectant mother would come back into town? No. They would be left with nothing and therefore have to move in with there mother therefore they would basically be written off the show. Y/N?
Georgina... no point in her death unless they use it as like a few episode long storyline finding out who killed her. Remeber "Save the cheerleader save the world" on the show heroes. "Who shot (or killed) Georgina Sparks?" would be the tagline for the previews for a few episodes leading up to the finale and finding out who killed her or something. This could actually go for any of the characters I guess. But it would confuse new viewers when all of a sudden they are making a big dealer about this girl who died when she hasn't even been on the season.
This goes for Georgina aswell (idk how much of a character she was in the book) but Nate and Vanessa were main characters in the book i believe. They also have storylines in the show. I think the writers of the tv show would need permission to kill off one of the main characters. I couldn't see them doing this to Nate. I could see them agreeing to kill off Vanessa though since the author doesn't like what she has become. Although then again, that could just mean Vanessa has more storylines to come and will fall into the shape of her character in the book. Just like they are focusing on Serena and Aaron from the book now and Eleanor and Cyrus Rose. And also Nate and Jenny having a fling. So i could see something happening and Vanessa becoming more like her character in the book. Possibly after finding out Chuck was just using her?
That leaves us with Bart. Most logical choice and would create the most storylines (read my post above). Wasn't a main character in the book so it won't affect the show or book negatively.

I still think it could be Bart because this death is supposed to affect almost everyone. Vanessa, that wouldn't be fair. I mean yes the author has a problem with her but Jessica Szor seems to give 100% into her career. I just think that would be completely unfair. It is the begininng of the second season so I think there is plenty of time to alter her character a bit and give her more storylines just like they did to Jenny. Just something needs to happen to her that will turn her into more of a badass. They aren't going to kill Nate either because hello he is the eye candy.

Exactally I agree with you.
And who knows.. The Chuck and Nate Love Triangle could be what sends her spiraling into her rebellious badass behaviour.
If this list isn't really confirmed though. Allison Humphrey will be the one to die.
And something interesting. When whoever the insider was giving out 5 possible characters. 1 being the one that dies. Why did the person even bother to mention Georgina if it wasn't her. Couldn't he have just added Serena or Blair or Chuck in her spot to make the list even more shocking. So that's why I think it might be Georgina.

Like Georgina could be murdered? She can break out of bootcamp and try to get revenge on Serena and Blair since it was her who sent Georgina away. Plus she can into Dan and Vanessa's head to since they know her. Then she'll die. Honestly I think Bart does no use to the show anymore. He is the devil himself and I think he is only around to make Chuck, Lily, Serena, and Erics lives a living hell. I don't think it will be Vanessa cuz the actress who plays her spilled the beans about the funeral first. I just think that will everything that has been happening to her that she could possibly have a nervous breakdown later on in the season maybe.
