Maybe I'm not remembering the funeral episode well but i really dont remember any sort of closure as far as Bart dying goes...Besides that everyone found out that he died by a telephone call...which to me is not like a 100% solid way of knowing that Bart is dead (what if his death was all architected by him...he has a lot of money and power, he could technically just disappear). It seems interesting that Bart becomes to focal point of the end of the season, with the titles like "eyes wide open", referring to Bart's secret organization, and "the curious case of Bart Bass" .... it would be like the only way to make sense out of this Elle s/l (and it would also serve as revenge against lily for her affair). Plus we all know that Lily and Rufus will have to be broken apart eventually since they are an obstacle in the way of Dan and Serena!!!!
Anyone else think so??

I'll kinda be mad if Bart is not dead. It makes Chuck's downspiral / Jack storyline, etc. pointless. I think Chuck will find out new information about his father's life and about his mother, but I don't think he's going to find out that they're alive. Who knows though, it is gossip girl.

my theory is that Bart is alive, and he's in the whitness protection act or something of that sort... and or was forced by the secret socioty to fake his death... i also think Misty may be alive aswell.

i have actually have thought about that...that he might be alive and just disappeared but then there was a funeral and he probably really is dead.
that would be cool for chuck to learn about his parents some more..especially his mother since she was never there..or maybe she was..who knows.

I think he is dead. However I think his death may not be accidental. Something to do with the Secret Society.

I doubt Chuck's mother will come up again because guess who gave us that little bit of information... the infamous proteinshake!!!!!
Also, Bart is definitely dead, because while GG has done some outrageous things, this would be a little too out of the realm of possibility. You can't fake a car crash!

a carcrash that neither Chuck nor Lily were in. Bass is a billionaire, he could stage a car crash while looking on from the shadows to see who was worthy and who should be destroyed. He needed a worthy heir, well this could be his way to find out who he can trust and who needs to be destroyed...

I think we've seen the last of Bart -in person- I think the actor wanted to leave the show and thats why he was killed off. This was also why he was going to killed off in the season 1 finale.

He is dead. But I think he was killed, and that is what Chuck is gonna find out in the season finale.
I think there has to be a Chuck storyline which involves his father (death) because of the tittle. So I think CB getting back together is gonna be something really quick, like that just one scene we saw in pics.
Saying this, if the CB reunion is before this Chuck discovering something about Bart, this discovering could a cliffhanger to end the season. The other posibility is Chuck discovering a secret first which will clears things up in his life so he can be going to Blair's arms. And the clifhanger thing would involve another character(s).
