you people scare me. i can't believe that there will be a serious triangle between B/V/C!!!

it can't be more than a simple joke, that's insane!

relationships are not easy to handle, especially for people who always used to care only about themselves and who are really young. (not to mention that they are super-spoiled) so they could do a lot of SL about this problem, how two people who really love each other try to work on a relationship. but come on, why vanessa?

in real life she might be a lovely person, but her caracter is the most annoying on the whole show, if she wouldn't be on the show, that wouldn't make any difference, in contrary it would maybe help to concentrate better on less caracters.

i'm really in shock, and seriously, if this will really happen (and i know that those writers are able to destroy anything), than i'm definitely out of this show.

    Spath3, I hope so!

I know you have hated the same things that JKay and I have hated.  I enjoy the other characters SL but I only watch the show for CB as well.  I haven't really gotten so emotionally involved in another show like this one - maybe it is because I am such a sucker for the love/hate/soulmates relationships.  Chuck's character especially drew me in because he was so overly consumed by Blair, so passionate and so tormented.  He only wanted her.  That is why I am such a harder critic on him.  If the writers can bring that back and take it further, I will be happy.

Wow...i thought i was the only one. The chuck/blair connection grasped me to be a fanatic for GG. Its the couple ppl root 4. Every good show has one if not they shud have one. I thnk puttin the reserved snotty girl with the charmin, manipulative womanizer was genius. They compliment each other. He brought her out of her shell and she made him realize he could actually love and have someone really trully love him back bcuz up until her he thought nobody really loved him. I thnk originally the writers were tryna put serena's life n the front end but things have drastically changd its all about chair

M.C. and Chairfan, you guys always drive it home! Yes, I miss the passion that is CB. Do you guys have any thoughts on how they could bring it back?

I'd love to hear it. Obviously the writer's need our help here since they did such a piss poor job in Season 2!

Omg!!! I definitely agree. Season2 had the potential 2b so much better than it was. Blair cuda been the queen bee to chucks king bee. They cuda ruled the school n den had the episodes wit him goin mental wit losin his father and she cuda brought him out of it and got bak together. And next season they cuda focused on him runnin the business and her helpin him and stil doin there own thing. They cud mak it work and stil hav dat fire they both possess. they dont have to b lovey dovey cuz dey shudnt sway away frm chucks persona too much but dey cud be jus a schemin pair. And it cud pacify fans n open the door for georgina and carter. Both dnt really hav a family life and are bad ass. Chuck has lily's family now and blair has a better relationship wit her mother thnks to her stepfather. I thnk they are dne bein totally evil cuz dey hav support so they shud jus be together.

What, if the roommates would be Vanessa and Georgina or Serena?

Spath3 - really all I want back is jealous passionate Chuck.  Kinda of like in Season 1 Episode 10 where he would do everything and anything for her.  And I don't want Blair to turn into someone whiney and needy like how she is with Nate.  Strong and protective (motherly?) like how she was for C during the funeral and the will reading.  I like how they each have an edge to them which causes them to spark with each other.  Those sparks start the fireworks!! :-)

    And storylines that make sense.

MC, Absolutely, I'll let you know before I completely give up on the show. It's been so soothing coming here and realizing that I'm not alone in how aggravated I am with the writing and changes in characterization. I'm addicted to your comments.

Spath3, I know your question wasn't addressed to me but I think there are two ways to go to restore the Chair dynamic. 1. My favorite and the way they're not going, was to leave them as friends and then have a slow build with them plotting/working together on something over the first four to five episodes with a jealous and regretful Chuck, and then them getting together around episode 6. This would also have had the added benefit of us not missing the early stages of their relationship as it took place over the summer break (this was one of the reasons I actually liked the Chuck abandoning Blair thing last season, little did I know what disaster it presaged). 2. Since it looks like they're going to go the relationship route right away, I think we need to see Chuck's jealousy and a hint of possessiveness come out over Blair's other commitments such as family, school, platonic male friends and Chuck being determined to cement his position in Blair's life. I have never thought this pairing needed third parties to keep them interesting. However, there's a lot of storylines that would have made sense to me at one point that they CANNOT do for quite a while now--Chuck chafing at the restrictions of a relationship, Chuck having problems stopping womanizing--because the way they wrote this season was already so unbalanced and only showing us a one sided love between C&B. Most of all, we need to see Chuck's love and that he is at focused and a bit worried about keeping Blair for himself. They need to shift the balance back, because they really tried hard from eps 15-22 to make them unshippable, IMHO.

^^  WOW, JKay!  Don't you dare leave this site!  You just brought out things I didn't even think of but sure felt.  Especially agree with what they cannot do.
