NEW -- SPOILER W/ BART BASS
-
All this Chuck-hate seems to me is coming from Blair-fans who resent Chuck's growth because Blair hasn't had any. I guess it sucks that Blair hasn't changed much since season 1, but hating on Chuck for it is dumb. If anything Blair is the one who needs to have a turning point and change.
I agree

I think that Chuck is going to get in a car crash because that is how is father died but Chuck won't die. He will just be in a coma or something and all of these ghosts will visit him and show him everyone's life without him. And then he will wake up!! Although I'm not so sure how they can make chuck a better person than he already is. He is already a saint this season. But I hope the writers do this SL right!!!!

That's what I think too, since that's what they did for Ryan in The O.C.

To be fair, Blair's had growth in season 2, and it sucks that she regressed for the sake of...oh, I don't even know why. I think that's cause for outrage. And as for Chuck, it wasn't too clear how he suddenly "snapped out of it", is so stable about it, and isn't suffering from debauchery withdrawal.

She had some growth, but hardly a lot. Her whole Yale plot was stupid with her acting out as a spoiled brat. And sleeping with Jack and going through her stealing/sleeping with Carter phase was hardly mature. The only time she had growth in s2 was end of 2x24 to 2x25

Are you for real? Chuck's growth in s2 started in 2x16 with him taking Jack down and picked up again in 2x19 when he realized what was important and went out of his way to help Blair. Then again 2x21 with his facing the his mistakes and trying to make up for them with Jenny and Blair and in 2x23-2x24 he proved over and over that he has matured by putting Blair's happiness over his own. He regressed a bit in 2x25 but ended up back on his feet.
Chuck is an orphan now. He has to grow up. He didn't suddenly snap out of anything, he just had well written organic growth. People are just confused because "organic" and "growth" isn't often Gossip Girl's style of writing.

exactly. for a 18 year old boy he has been through so much, his life was a hell second season, losing his only parent alive made him make a lot of mistakes but i think he learned from them. im not surprised he is mature now, and i think having blair by his side bring him stability, so i do understand where his caracter is coming from. i do think, however, that one point he is gonna fall hard, i have this feeling this is gonna happen when they break up chair.

Did you just say Andrew McCarthy aka Rick Rhodes aka Lily's father? Why is he on set? With Bart Bass?
hmm i remember there being a spoiler about lily and serena being atwitter or something.. so im guessing it has to do with that!
But ohmygosh can i just say WOW at the bart and chuck photos. This might sound weird but chucks angry face really scares me in that photo.. like id hate to be on the recieving end of that glare thats for sure!

at the first time i didn't know that was him but is totally him,
he is going to be a ghost for shure because, if they wanted him in the UES now a days they wouldn't have picked a man who is only 50 and appeared in the spin-off with the same age but 20 years ago

I love the idea of Chuck getting to see what Blair would have been like without him or them as children. BUT if its a christmas carol type thing it means he's going to end up learning a leson from it, so he will be a better person. Impling that he will go bad again, which i actually like about Chuck.
Still interesting concept and i geuss it means we get a few episode before this one of bad boy Chuck, and possibly a bit of the C/B game playing, that leads him to have this story book epiphany.

This could actually be really interesting! I really hope the writers do well with this.
