See, I don't see anything more important to Blair at the end of day than Chuck. I know she's screwed up a few times, but ht ewriting keeps playing up how much she is willing to give up, let go, etc. So I don't really see her as bad for him, but I could be wrong. It's that she's the flagbearer for Chair, and that is so unbalanced and so different from how they originally were. She gives up power, she gives up dignitiy, she sets aside everything to help him. She finally makes a stand and he can't even be her friend.
At the same time, pretty much everything and everyone seems to be more important to Chuck than Blair. Idgi. I do not know why they are writing them this way at all, but it's gotten really bad to watch.
I think there is honestly about zero chance that Dan will love Blair more than Serena at the end of the day. ( I was a Dair supporter early on, so believe me I see ALL the promise of Dair). I feel that and YET I still want to watch Dair because I STILL think it ihas a chance to be much better for Blair. That's how unsettling Chair has gotten.

So, really, I want Blair to not have to be the flagbearer for Chair, get to have something with Dan, and we'll see where things go. IF they want Chair to be the story, (which I hope they don't) I'd suggest they do a lot of work on showing Chuck's feelings for Blair. That said, no matter what they do, I ain't shipping them.

ITA. I got tired of B always being second best. I admit, she has her fair share in the problems with Chair but she always gets the short end of the stick.

See this is where I'm getting confused when it comes to Chuck. Chuck was so nice around Eva and even with Elle he was the hero in training. With Blair, he seems to be his worst self.

LMAOOO. of course DB shippers think CB is forced and contrived. the writers manipulated you nicely. so dan working in fashion is not contrived? chuck and serena both dating someone else so DB are forced to hang out and feel sad over it and eventually hook up is not contrived and forced? lol, good one.
CB is the only consistent story on this show. DB is the random-scenes-once-in-every-6-episodes story ;) until now, of course, when the writers run out of OMG hook ups.

I cringe as I type this Cupcakes, so don't hold it against me. I think in their misguided, demented way, they're extrapolating on the theory that you can be whoever you are when you're with the person you really love. He doesn't need to be a hero or perfect to be with Blair because in some way they fit with each other.
That being said, I have yet to be convinced that Blair and Chuck are in the kind of love that can allow them to be in a normal and functional relationship.

the only reason why chuck was so nice to eva is because she saved his life.He felt like he owns her something. If someone saved your life would you be mean to them?

No one has been there more consistently or suffered more for him or loved him more than Blair, though right? Yet, he continually is nicer to everyone else and seemingly more sexually interested in them too. It can't work both ways.
