New Resolutions Preview!!
I see these CB fans on other boards all saying I'm done with them and start jumping ship over to DB and gushing over the prince (who btw is a snooze). This may be wrong but true CB fans stick around no matter how immoral they can get or how they can no longer stand Chuck's twisted ways. The complexities in their characters is what brings the flare and I'll definitely remain as a supporter long after the show airs. Mmm, don't worry for what others write, this is ALWAYS the same, all this negativity ... People (99%)are never happy with the spoilers , they always complain and complain ... because things change or doesn't change, and then the episode comes and we see all the history and details and we love it .Posted 1/10/2011 10:57:20 PM #

just an honest question to DBers, are you really happy DB's interactions are like this? causing embarasing scenes in the middle of the parties ("nate's a gentleman. he would never cause a scene" - 1x10 .. but you would, blair? okay.. ) fighting like siblings.. idk, if i was waiting so long for them, i would be disappointed. they're TOO hilarious. they're like in a sitcom. it's too over the top. just my opinion, of course.
anyways, looks like blair also has no problem pimping people she cares about to sleep with someone for her benefit. interesting ..Posted 1/11/2011 9:24:40 AM #

Idk, I haven't seen all of the episode yet?
Why would I be unhappy about them rolling around on the floor together? And what do I care what the New York society thinks about them?
Thing is, no DB shipper wants DB to be the next "epic" thing. If Dan and Blair'd be talking about how magnetic and undeniable they are, THAT would piss me. We're quite fine with hilarious scenes, at least that will be fun.

See, if Nate and Blair were in a relationship, and Blair and her boss did a deal about Blair's boss sleeping with Nate without Nate knowing about it, but Blair making sure that Nate knew that Blair's boss wanted to sleep with him in order for Blair to get what her want, and Blair setting everything up and emotionally manipulating Nate with tears and emotional blackmail to go sleep with her boss though he doesn't want to, and he just does it because he loves her that much, THEN it would be the same.
Actually, no, because I am not sure if Blair's boss is a rapist. And because she probably wouldn't blame it all on Nate later on.Posted 1/11/2011 9:36:09 AM #
because that's like the last thing i'd imagine blair waldorf doing? (but then again, dish washing.. it's DB time, of course) and okay, i was just saying i wouldn't want my ship to fight like siblings, but i guess that's just me.
and lol, when did i say it was the same? o.O i just thought that after last season, she'd be, idk, a bit traumatized by it, but she's clearly not since she's doing a SIMILAR thing to nate.
and yes, but then again, nate hasn't WILLINGLY slept with her boss before, so..Posted 1/11/2011 9:41:36 AM #
Are you saying making a scene is not Blair's thing? I mean, Blair tries hard to make a good appreance, etc., but I remember at least 10 times when she had an "temperamental outburst" on a social event (though this might be the worst, yes), so i cannot say i think it's OOC.
No, it's not even a similar thing, because she obviously tells Nate about it herself, and Nate agrees and doesn't seem to have a emotional breakdown over it. She doesn't trick him into getting raped because she wants something, see the big difference?
and yes, but then again, nate hasn't WILLINGLY slept with her boss before, so..
What has that to do with anything?Posted 1/11/2011 9:52:20 AM #

Heh. I think everyone saw this coming from a mile off.
No, it's not at all the same for all the reasons P said.
I love how somehow Blair sleeping with Jack when distraught over Chuck makes her the villian when HE SELLS HER TO A RAPIST, CONSPIRING WITH SAID RAPIST AGAINST HER AND DELIBERATELY MANIPULATING WHAT HE KNOWS ABOUT HER AND HER FEELINGS FOR HIM TO GET HER TO DO THIS, THEN PLANS ON BLAMING HER FOR IT AND REFUSES TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY.
That's clearly way different from her asking Nate about doing something, and Nate agreeing. Nate agreed to something like this for Jenny before, too.
Would I rather have this been avoided. Yes. Because the show was way offensive in terms of dealing with the IP, and CHuck took no responsibility or fall out about it, even having an angelic girlfriend tell him it was fine. So the show already took that role on, no worries. Because it is going to offend me that they never let Blair keep her hard earned growth after the IP, just to pimp Chair and Chuck. However, this is supposed to be a super offensive thing (compared to Blair helping Chuck with the Empire early season or the speeches to Eva about how Blair made him bad)? Not by half in my eyes.Posted 1/11/2011 10:04:07 AM #
