Question: OK, stop teasing and start spilling: What will Gossip Girl‘s 100th episode be about? —DianeAusiello: To quote a certain song from the seminal 1984 comedy classic The Muppets Take Manhattan, somebody’s getting, somebody’s getting, somebody’s getting, somebody’s getting, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody, somebody’s getting marrrrieeeed — and that someone is Blair. And the groom? Why it’s none other than Prince Louis. “The big event in the 100th episode is Blair’s wedding,” confirms exec producer Josh Safran, adding that the royal nups will be “big and lavish and twist and juicy.” The milestone hour will also reward longtime fans in that it will include “a lot of callbacks and echoes to the pilot. It was important for me to pay homage and respect [to our first episode]. There are a lot of Easter eggs. I think it’s going to be really beautiful.”

Question: Any scoop on Blair’s royal wedding on Gossip Girl? —CarrieAusiello: Safran says the 100th episode is as much about Blair as it is Serena. “The central relationship has always been the two of them,” says Safran. “Blair’s getting married and her best friend is her maid of honor — that’s a core dynamic we’re playing with.”

Question: I need to know more about the Gossip Girl kiss that awaits Blair. Is it followed by a clap, slap, or snap? And while you’re at it, how about a hint about whom she’ll be kissing? —EmilyAusiello: I’m definitely not spoiling whom she kisses. You’ll have to watch the Sleep No More-themed Nov. 14 episode for that reveal. I will, however, confirm that the smooch is followed by a slap.

Why??? The first episode was shit! I didn't love Gossip Girl until episode 8 then I LOVED it! (And no, not just because of Chair!)

The first epidode was weird as there were different people (like Eleanor) and missing people. Plus Georgina wasn't in it, so her returning must have nothing to do with that 'respect' back to the first episode.

I'd rather they take the whole show back to season one, rather than one episode back to the first episode. Season One was great. I know they've all grown up now. But the banter and the friendship between Dan, Blair, Chuck, Serena and Nate (the NJBC) is what I started watching the show for, and still do, and that's what it is lacking IMO.

They could just meant that amidst the normal plot unrolling in the 100th episode they're might be callbacks to what happened in the S1E1 and all that happened after.

Kinda like when Chuck referred back to the Charlie Trout thing. Personally I love little touches like that.

Ohmygod this marriage isn't actually happening is it? Are the writers, I'm too shocked to say this, team BLOUIS? Surprised

@AmyGirl, I am preparing myself for the wedding to happen for several reasons. It’s scheduled to take place in 5x13 or past the midpoint of the last season of the show. I say last season since none of the actors have contracts past 2012 and S6 would have to include part of 2013. So I can see these writers go through the wedding to shock us since nobody expects the wedding to actually happen. And then in 5x24, Blair will walk away from her title of princess to be with her endgame. End of series.

I really don't hope that's true! Louis is boooooring, I don't want him to stick around for the entire season!

@Hanna. having a wedding doesn’t mean having Louis stick around past 5x13; having a wedding simply means adding a complication to whatever endgame they maybe building.
