There're certainly some situations that have become unavoidable for this season because of the importance that season two has suggested they have. For example: Chucks Birthday got to have an important full episode, at least that's what I believe after being such a big drama about him getting his father's emporio at his 18. I would love to see a Chuck's birthday blast.
I would also love watching a Lily and Rufus weird kind of wedding, or something of that bizarre nature. They should surely get that on season three also.
Chair's first big date should be an episode material as well.
Georgina and Vannessa being double murdered by an out of control bus should be amazing also. Just kidding!
Any ideas of your own to list here?

if dan uses the money georgina got back from poppy and he goes to yale, i think that they may have a thing with dan and nelly. i think it would be cute.

Vanessa falling for Scott, and then Dan getting jealous. And it would be interesting to see a Carter/Serena/Nate triangle. I really hope they show a Chair first date. Going to the movies, holding hands.

i dont think lily and rufus will get married in season 3 because serena's dad will eventually show up and cause problems between them.

I think that a Lily/Rufus/Kieth triangle will happen
They need to do something with Nate and Serena. A triangle, an interesting story line, whatever!

I know I should be happy that the Jack thing wasn't a big deal and Chair ended up together but I feel like the situation really shouldn't be left alone. I would love to see Jack come to town and try and stir up problems with Chair. I wanted to see the "blair would never touch you." I hope they can do something with that, maybe Jack trying to claim Blair slept with him again.

MotherChuckingBass that would be amazing if Jack came back. I want something to happen when Chuck feels jealous that Blair is with all these guys, and I want him to like, fight for her.
NATE AND SERENA NEED TO HAPPEN! Chair and SereNate need to end up together in the series finale.

I know that would be great, because Chuck's never really fought for Blair, or at least I don't feel he has... I mean at the beginning of season two he kind of was, trying to win her from Marcus, but it seems to me that Chuck has always done all this sceming to get Blair but it never works out, it usually just hurts her, or when Chuck wins he gloats and then seems to be in a mindset of wanting what he can't have. I mean I think Blair is the ONLY thing he can't buy for himself you know? If Jack comes back I hope we all see what Chuck's REALLY made of, and not "oh I want Blair, but I won't tell her I love her, I'll just bang the nanny" kind of situation to replay itself.
Serena and Nate is like the ONLY couple people seem to ship but it never happens, I would love to see them actually together and not just another one night stand. Nate really liked her in season 1, and maybe I'm wrong but it seems like he doesn't so much anymore. But there's nothing in their way now, if they were to get together I think it would be too perfect for the writers. They need drama and it seems like they would only put Nate and Serena together if it causes drama with a character (example: Nate and serena slept together while Nate was with Blair = drama between the three of them). I hope I'm wrong because Nate and Serena would be so cute.
Another thing to bring up though should be Vanessa and Chuck, there's no way Nate or Blair would just let that go. Blair hates Vanessa and should be furious that Chuck slept with her, because I feel and I'm sure Blair would too that Chuck slept with Vanessa just to hurt Blair (or at least I thought he was always planning it that way) ad Vanessa was with Chuck to hurt Nate. That can't just be forgotten. I for one would love to see a few fist fights.

Oh and I would be thrilled if Rufus and Lily got married and then at the wedding Allyson shows up and ruins the wedding :-P

i think they should bring up blairs bulimia again too. cause they didnt really close that up. and then chuck shows her how much he loves her by being there for her like she was for him or something like that.
and i want more harold and roman. =]
