Chace is negotiating with lawyers on ways to do both, he is committed to gossip girl for 6 seasons, so it is a first priority but they are trying to get settled on a filming schedule that would alow him to do both.

first off he can't leave he has another 4 or 6 years. he is great character for the show. they just haven't given him the greatest plots. that could change guys. btw go watch the covenant. it is his first acting role it isnt big but at least it is better then some others i know about. he might not be a decent actor but neither is ben affleck. chace is filming another movie right know actually called twleve and the movie is called twelve. you might not think he is a great actor but somebody does and they are the people in hollywood not you. the entertainment industry is an extremely hard thing to get into. and YES CHACE CRAWFORD IS HOT.

Though Chace Crawford hasn't been able to leave an impact on the show, it won't be right if he doesn't return in season 3. He's still one of the main characters.
I agree. He can still improve if given a nice storyline or interesting dialogues.
Besides, the Non-Judging Breakfast club won't be the same without him.
