Is an insult to its fans. Is an insult to every and each fan no matter what couple it stands for, no matter what relationship it props up, it's an utter piece of shit and isn't worth watching at all. Let's be clear, I haven't seen the finale, and I probably never will, I've seen bits from 4x22, got burnt and it still hurts. My Dair shipping aside, what happened to everyone and everything? What's the point of saying you'll redeem all characters and that this is the season of its growth then make them all miserable and pathetic. Let's say that "We needed Dair to help Blair grow and reunite with Chuck" was what they were trying to sell. Fine. Yes, fine. Alright, we get it, they are epic, inevitable...etc. That would be FINE, IF they didn't spend the entire season (especially last 7 episodes) to prove that Dan and Blair support each other, have a lovely relationship in which they don't hold each other back, in which all she wants in the world is Dan's happiness (how ironic?). Saying that their relationship is their world, that they're a team, giving interviews in which you say how they "found each other" and basically were 5 seasons in the making, ONLY TO END IT IN LESS THAN 40 MINUTE CRAPFEST MAKING IT SEEM LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENED. With nothing, and lemme repeat -- absolutely NOTHING hinting a CB/DS reunion/hookup before that horrific promo. That is just disrespectful and I am so bitter at this moment. You do not do that. I'd appreciate them more if they came out and said "It's over, Dair fans. We used you, basically. Fuck you. Bye." but no, of course they're MIA now. In fact no, I'd be MIA. I'd run away. I'd be ashamed. No proper break up scene? No proper conversation? Nothing. What is this shit I refuse to believe it's even real. What about Chair? After so many episodes of Blair constantly trashing her abusive and awful relationship with Chuck she suddenly realises that's exactly what she wants. Pain and misery. I am speechless. This show...No, for real, I am speechless.

broken heart...i feel like i always try to be Blair's stan...when she's with L i defend her...maybe Dan is okay and not broken heart..but i did...they made Dair too beautiful..even until i saw Blair's eyes and smile in 5x22 when she watched Dan gone.. I never want to hate Blair..she was that character i love so much..but now even i can't replay/rewatch previous eps or look at her picture..

I don't feel like that at all.

I really liked this Season Finale. It was entertaining. Why are you all complaining so much? Don't have better things to do with your summer?

lol.

People are spending way too much effort whinging and complaining about the finale. I stopped caring after Season 3's finale - that was a royal piece of fuckery - at least this finale was a nice parallel to season 1, and it didn't seem too contrived (maybe the Dair storyline was a bit bent out of shape to try and fit the mould of the episode structure, and I feel sorry for Dair fans who feel cheated) - but I think the writers have a goal/plan in mind which requires one to look at things more holistically. And tbh, as screwed up as Chuck and Blair's relationship is (I thought the casino scene was unnecessary..if the episode had ended with the Blair and Eleanour in Paris scene, it would have been much better), I don't think it's as 'out of this world' as people on here seem to think it is (obviously highly dramatised for television). I have a few friends who keep going back to the same dickheads (or different dickheads who essentially treat them the same way in the end) because the way they feel when they are treated right by these dickheads seems to justify all the hurt and pain they are put through in waiting for those moments. Eh. It's a weird mentality, but some girls just can't help it.

Anyways, I thought Bart was bloody awesome - especially when he revealed the ring was a 'test'. I was laughing at Chuck's facial expressions. Season 1 Chuck was the best, and I hope Bart brings out that Chuck in season 6.

Ania, as a Dair fan who has been used and slighted, I have every right to complain about the way that the Dan and Blair relationship was handled in the finale. I invested a lot of time into that pairing, which yes, is admittedly my fault, but when you have the showrunners blatantly giving you impression that your ship is not just a prop like Blouis, you tend to remain involved. I guess that was their goal, and that's what pisses me off even more. We look stupid because we actually gave these idiots the benefit of the doubt.

It didn't seem too contrived? You've got to be joking me. And this was less of a parallel and more a direct recycling of previous storylines.

I only have one thing to say. All the characters on GG have become detestable and horrible. Except for NATE FREAKING ARCHIBALD. The golden boy is still golden and I'm so glad he keeps out of this mess of chair dair and derena rufly libart...or whatever they are called.

Gossip Girl Quotes

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl

[to Jenny] That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey. You can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you. For what it's worth, you're my Queen. I choose you.
