i think that neither of them is gonna die. And Izzie will come back to life first because of the way the show ended. and i agree with the people that said that george isnt gonna die because theyll find an excuse for him not to go to irak and find his love interest in the girl from the oc.
besides, if they die the show will lose a lot of its primary characters. its a very imporant opportunity for george to gain relevance after losing it in the lasts seasons.
cristina is soo in love. i think shell fight for her relationship with hunt and they will end up together.
and lexie and sloan are a great couple!

Izzie sees George before Owen says "We are losing him". That means, that George isn´t the one who is dead. Izzie in the elevator is dead and she wants to pick up George, so that they can go together.
But I think it can go both ways. Maybe George joins Izzie in the elevator, that would mean they´re both dead. But also Izzie can walk to George and they both would stay alive. Or only Izzie dies.
But this military suit that George is wearing confuses me a little. What´s that supposed to mean? Why do you think he is wearing it?

Izzie wore her prom dress in the elevator in a sequence earlier in season 5 too. She got off the elevator with Denny, but she still didn't die. then she got back on and was alive. Maybe they both will come back together. I think George is in uniform because that is how Izzie (and perhaps he himself) would see him now, since he was off to be a medic for the army. It may be the way to give George a sotryline for next year. Recovery, girlfriend, etc. Too sad if George dies now! As for Izzie, if they kill her off, wow! Mer will be devestated, so will Cristina and Bailey and poor poor Alex who loses all the women in his life! He would crumble! I hope they both live.

After reading the Shonda Rimes report, I think they will either both live or both die.
EW:Do you know which one of them lives and which one of them dies?
Shonda Rimes: Yes. And I don't know that you should be saying"which one of them lives and which one of them dies." I know what happens to the characters.
As for George being in a uniform, I think they did that to show he is a hero.
Season 6 looks to be heading for an amazing start!

I think George won't make it.
You know why I think so?
Becouse it's impossible that he will look the same after this accident,it's the same like with Rebecca( karev's Jane Doe ) .She looked like herslef but not complitely..That's why I think that it is impossible that Geroge survives..
And I also think that thy way Izzie looked at the elevator buttons that she is "tihinking" to go back to Alex..

I kind of agree with latika, but I was also thinking maybe if they let TR Knight out of his contract, they will bring someone else to play George if they want to keep him because after surgery he would look different...

I think that too, but he wouldn't sound like George either. I don't see why he would need a different voice.

maybe from the intubation tube, or his voicebox got crushed and had to be replaced? Just completely random guesses. I bet they won't do this, they will either kill him off or let him live and be played by TR. My mind just runs through all these different scenarios...

It looks like Goerge is gonna die to me,and if Izzie dies too it would be bad,and show wouldn't be the same..I don't think that would be a good idea..
Can't wait till next season!!This is even worse then ending of season 2. Then we at least knew Denny died,now wo don't know anything!! :(

I almost think George's death would have a greater effect on the other characters. Everyone knows Izzie is really sick and that she could die. They're almost prepared for it, I know I am. But George's death would affect Izzie if she survives, she might feel guilty, Owen because he gave him the idea to go to the army, the Chief for letting him leave early, and just everyone else who adores him. Meredith does, and Alex has gotten a bit closer to him over the past episodes. Izzie would have died happy too, she just got married to the person she loves. I don't want either of them to die, but I think I'd be more upset if George died.
