THis episode was GREAT! Especially, for us Mer/Der fans! They were seen together throughout the entire episode which was great. The beginning scene with them in bed was so sweet and naturally the working together is always good but the ending was terrific! Derek was so sweet to dance it out with Mer and so loving with the kissing and the holding her. I bet they had a ball filming that entire scene! There is no doubt Ellen laughed her head off at Patrick! They are just so good together! I also thought the remaining cast had good storylines as well. In other words it was a good overall episode as far as everyones screentime, I thought! I actually think it was my favorite Mer/Der episodes so far this season! Can't wait until next week, with Der's Mom and Meredith! I'm a very happy Mer/Der fan tonight! Kathy

Thought that this was a brilliant episode. They are really pushing these characters to grow and that is making all of it really pay off. Loved learning more about Derek tonight. It was also nice to see that he and Owen are really starting to bond. I do hope that Christina and Mer will patch things up, but it needs to happen in its own time. It was good to see the chief really worried about his hospital and wanting to fix it. Really glad to see Izzie trying to work through the Denny thing. Mark and Callie are hilarious. I love Mark and Lexie together, I am excited to see how it all plays out. Great episode!

Yay! Nice episode. FINALLY some Mer/Der stuff. Loved it, even if it was brief. Now if Christina and Mer can make up, it will be ok.
Am I the only one who LOVES Mark and Callie together!? They have such great chemistry.
With Eric Stoltz's murderer character sticking around, I can only hope that they aren't going to kill someone that we love off (although I wouldn't mind if he stuck a scalpel into Sadie!)
So happy Grey's is back, and love the back to back with Private Practice too!

I'm a newbie here just joined because I love this show so much, and have to say that I loved the show tonight. Eric Stolz was brilliant and I was better about the Denny thing and I love it when Bailey holds back the tears. The only thing I wasn't so crazy about was Dr Arizona and her roller skates. Wouldn't trust her to examine my kid AT ALL.

This song at the end of the show with Meriedith and Derek dancing... I loved it. Wasn't sure who it was and someone on the Gray forum posted it was a singer-songwriter Tandy.

I really liked this epi. I absolutely LOVED the MerDer scenes. So relieved that the conflict/drama with the PDR patient did not put a rift b/t them-- I am a BIG FAN of the writers leaving them together and them working through things in life together (or at least coming back to each other at the end of the day).... Mer and Cristina... so heartbreaking. Although I have never been a fan of Sadie, I loved the scene with insight into Mer that she gave. Sounds completely on the money and may just be the secret ingredient to Mer and Cristina patching it up. I have had a nasty year-long blow out with one of my closest friends and we have been working on coming to terms and patching up for a few months now. It takes time. And your relationship will never be exactly the same again. But what I'm coming to find is that the different that it is, can maybe be considered as better. There is huge growth in a relationship that has sustained through and lengthy and almost catostrophic fight, such as Mer's and Cristina's. Watching this growth will be great. And Mer and Der having a little space w/o Cristina in the middle is an endearing little treat in the meantime!!!
As for Alex & Izzie & Denny-- Izzie's happiness is heartbreaking to me. We know this is all gonna end in a bit. Alex being so nonchalant about it is a bit nuts! Maybe in character, yes, but nuts! I want George in there to kick some Alex *ss and make it known that Izzie is sick and needs some help. Poor lonely Izz. Mer's plate is so full she doesn't see it. George feels like he's gotta stay outta Alex's way. And Alex thinks it's a bit weird but he's OK with it??? Hmmm..... I feel for Izzie if he's supposed to be the one who cares for her most!!!!!
LOVED the fact that George kicked Alex's *ss about it being Izzie's b-day-- making sure his best friend truly has a great b-day with the guy he loves, even if George doesn't necessarily like the boyfriend all that much. Very in character for the George we love. Izzie comes first to him. Caring. Awesome. My George!!!
Bailey needs to kick the chief's *ss!!!! Maybe the reason that SGH is #12 is b/c the chief is so inclined to hang a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and hope it all changes w/o him. Hmmm.... Richard needs to believe in these guys and find the good things and build up the good things instead of just pointing out the many failures. They are need a little more oxygen, as the writer of this epi pointed out. And Richard the Chief needs to start supplying it, I think!
I was really surprised by getting the little window into Der at the end. Loved that. Give me more. It's been a while since we learned new stuff about our McDreamy. And let's face it, WE LOVE MCDREAMY!!!!

I'm a newbie here. I really liked this episode with the PDR (Prisoner Death Row). The conflict of whether to save or not to save the PDR was great. But I need more Owen and Christina moments. Hopefully in the next episode.

I think there's something going to happen to Meredith because of the PDR. He wants to live and he and Meredith are some kind of friends or what... And if he could do something she's always near him...

Tempnightnurse and Jace, I love Eric Stoltz too. He's so perfect in this part.
