But Lexie had the healthy upbringing, so she has the emotional tools to deal with an unknown situation like a half sister. Meredith, on the other hand, had non-existent parents for all intents and purposes, therefore, she is not equipped emotionally to handle her half-sister just yet. She will, it will just take a while.
