gc, I think what Callie meant by the quote, "and because she's an attending" is that Erica is technically her boss; Callie is a only resident with a specialty. In the hospital hierarchy attendings lead a speciality and residents work under them.
I'd imagine the scenario similar to a professor with tenure dating a visiting professor.
Take it how you want but I think Callie is worried about the repercussions of dating a woman as well as a higher ranking doctor.

In hospital hierarchy attendings lead a specific speciality and residents work under them. (i.e. Hahn is the head of Cardiothoracics and the residents work under her to assist with tests and surgeries.)
I'd imagine the scenario is similar to a professor with tenure dating a visiting professor if that clarifies things.

Did anyone else get mad when Hahn yelled at Meredith?? I DO NOT like Hahn at all...she is nothing but rude to our favorite characters! As for her and Callie...that's boring to me! They need to use that wasted air time for Meredith and Derek.

i don like hahn either...which is the only reason i don like the whole callica thing. i really think callie deserves better after a bad marriage and being cheated on!
and she was rude to Mer. I mean if she wants to tell Cristina something, she should say it to her face! My fave scene with hahn was when the chief told her she was a bad teacher!!! she totally deserved to hear that! and she should compliment Mer for learning to do that suture or w/e she called it! shes trying to learn and hahn isnt helping much...no correction...she isnt helping cristina bc she was about to marry burke, the previous head of cardiac surgery! little does hahn know how much he hurt her when he left cristina standing in that church in the wedding dress she didn want and the without the eyebrows she didn want "mama" to take out! he shouldve stood up for his bride...and now cristina has to pay for it under hahns bad manners!

I dont know about Hahn yet. If she was nicer to people, she would be funny cause she's so blunt. But the rudness is annoying.

O, I just can not fight it - every time Hahn looks at Calie, all I can see is that girl in the "Silence..." with Antony Hopkins and Foster, when she was sitting down in the hole, calling for stupid maniac`s dog! I believe, that she is a great actress, my mind just stuck on her firts role!
