Crash Into Me, Part 2

OK, I agree with ALL of you. McThorny relationship is just WRONG and Rose is just a not good thing. I loved the dance party, but in the end we must realize this: dancing is not the answer, drinking is not the answer. Love and happiness is the answer and currently that is not happening. Next: I heard that there was something about a nasty reason for Bailey's becoming chief resident, and here is my guess (it may sound far fetched...): Chief, now that his relationship with his wife is OVER, has realized his love for Bailey. He promoted her to chief resident because A) she's great at the job, and B) he wants to keep her busy and away from husband. Soon the relationship between bailey and tucker will be null and void, so Chief can step in as a new romance for Bailey. OK, now that I type it out it sounds SO stupid... but oh well. Got to go.Posted 12/7/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Bailey and her husband make me so sad, but can you imagine being on his side of things? Being made to wait for the thousandth time, while she operates on a White Supremacist? It's not fair to either of them, but they tell you in first year meds (at least here in canada) that 4/5 marriages of surgeons don't work out. So it's not too surprising that way. His comment about loading the dishwasher last episode made my blood boil though. Good repeat of MerDer's dilemma though, you could almost hear Mer saying "choose me, pick me, love me" all over again.Posted 12/7/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hey guys, this is my first time posting in forever, so my thoughts on this two part episode could be a bit long, but whatever. Okkaaay where to begin? That Rose person, yuck. What the hell is Der thinking, just kissing her like that? Mer is making progress, she knows she doesn't want to lose Der and then he kisses Rose. Sometimes the writers on this show drive me crazy because none of the relationships work out, and even if a relationship is working, they have to create more drama by breaking these relationships up. Name me one relationship on Grey's Anatomy that has worked out. Before last night, I could think of one, Bailey and Tucker. Well, so much for that! Why? Why create unneccessary drama like that? Just keep them together. George/Izzie aren't going anywhere, but who knows what will happen. I can't see one of them just going after someone else, so I'm not sure what's going to happen. The episode itself was pretty good, part two was great. That "dance party" at the end of the episode was odd, but I guess it means Mer and Lexie can sort of co-exist. Alex and Ava or Rebecca or whatever, ugh, who knows what is going on there. They both seem to like each other more than their other options, ie Lexie and Rebecca's husband, but there is too much baggage there to start something now. Is Sloan and Hahn really going to happen? That would be weird. Anyway, who knows when the next new episode is?Posted 12/7/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hi all, first post. Sorry I have a lot to say (nothing unusual there). Until 2 weeks ago I had never seen a GA episode, but I have now seen Seasons 1, 2 and 3 and in process of watching S4 on the internet. I want to talk about the action between Alex and Ava/Rebecca in the current episode. The thing, I think about Alex is that, he has no illusions about himself, he knows that he is a wreck - to use his exact words - I am not so sure that he was/is as bad as that. He is undoubtedly growing, changing, finding his self and developing as a doctor and as a man. I think we saw this in the way he built a relationhip with Ava/Rebecca even when she was swathed in bandages or hideously distorted by her injuries. He saw the person inside all that external camouflage, you would not think that of Alex from the self he presents to the world, but he showed real depth there. Gradually we are learning more about him and the reason for that defensive, brash, arrogant self he presents - such as having an alcoholic father, spending childhood in a bar, never been taken to the park, and becoming the adult in his family. I think Ava/Rebecca is lovely, I love her feistiness and she always calls Alex on his behaviour, she doesn't take a backward step to him. But, this time it was him calling her on her "stuff" and he was right, spot on, what is she doing? What game is she playing? These two are my fave couple on GA but in the end where can it go? I think they will eventually split but knowing that they met the right person at the wrong time and in the wrong place. I think that will really hurt Alex, and that is why he has gone into full "Alex" offensive/defensive mode with her because I think he really does like and care for her. And, goddamn it she is good for him. Sigh. Anyway that is my tuppence worth about Alex and Ava/Rebecca, a couple that don't get as much discussion on here as MerDer, but IMHO are every much as interesting and watchable. I can't believe I have gone from never having seen it to obsessing about it all :-)Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I am glad to see that loose ends are being tied. I guess were not going to see any marital relationships last on this show. The only thing that continues is the friendship. I guess that is what is important to Shonda. Oh, well. Mcdreamy has really let me down. It would have been better if he would have stopped himself from kissing Rose. How can he be over Mer so soon? I just don't get it. Seriously, does he really have a choice to make? He has just lost his mcdreamyness.Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Since Thursday nights episode, I have been trying to give this Mer/Der thing alot of thought. There are so many spoilers and comments made by different ones on what will happen in episode 11. But, I'm still holding on to the comment PD made on GMA. He says something happens and they move forward with the relationship. I took that being positive for Mer/Der! But from the spoilers, it says that Der shows Mer the house plans and she basically tells him she isn't there yet but they will get there slowly together (something like that) and kisses him and runs off. Then he gets discouraged with her again and goes to the nurses station and ask Rose out on a date. I thought somebody said that would be the last scene of the episode with Mer/Der/Rose.??? If thats true, then where are they moving forward?? I took his comment as if we would know what was going to happen by the end of episode 11. Did anyone else see the interview with PD and get what I did out of it? A positive move for Mer/Der?? I'm still trying to believe that they will be together sooner than later! What do you guys think at this point?Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

And by the way, I don't know when I'll get over what Derek did! Just thinking about it still blows my mind! I still can't believe he kissed Rose. Seriously. I know he and Meredith are supposedly NOT together as a couple and he had the freedom to date other people and that was Meredith's doing....but he just wasn't suppose to ruin the McDreamy image we have all had..meaning that he shouldn't even want to kiss anybody else but Mer! And we all know he still loves Meredith and nothing has changed as far as his feeling for her, its just that he has to prove to himself that there are other women that could possibly give him what he wants if Meredith isn't sure or not ready. But still....it just broke my heart. And when Meredith told him all those things at the end of the episode... the spark between them is just unreal to me! Both of their eyes just sparkle and the CHEMISTRY is always there! Shonda has got to let them be together and not to continue to ruin our McDreamy! Now that things are looking bad for Baliey and Tucker, she should at least let Mer/Der now be the healthy couple on the show!Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

hy Kathy i also heard the spoilers about the house plans and after derek told Mer about his plans she tells him that she isn't there yet....but i also saw the interview where derek said that they are moving forward with the relationship..and he also said thank good after that! so i think he wouldn`t say that, derek would ask rose for a date in episode 11 or ? and i mean he can't get over Mer so fast or can he? i mean he has plans and said how much he loves her ..and then he dates and kisses someone else..i think that makes no sense!Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I am with you Kathy. I am a huge Mer/Der fan(hence the name More kissing i say, which is what Der said to mer after she attacked him in the elevator, one of my fav. epi.) I am just so discouraged with the writers strike and the slow process and the wall hitting of their relationship. I don't want another season ending with Mer/Der not together.Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

You know, I don't want to know what it was like on this website during season 2. I wasn't yet a grey's fan when that season first aired on tv, but dang, that season must have been hell for all the MERDER fans. we have to look on the bright side here during season 4...at least we know they still love each other and they have no obligations to anyone else as opposed to season 2 where they were apart the whole season, and derek had a wife. i'm definitely a huge MERDER fan, but i can't even imagine what it would have been like for those of you who have watched grey's since season one on tv. the way i see it, season 2 seems way more frustrating in the MERDER perspective than season 4 is, but that's just my opinion.Posted 12/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #
