     MD02, please let me know what the podcast says. In case anyone was not sure, the preview (in slo-mo on videotape)definitely showed Thatcher's face, contorted with rage and grief, as he slapped Meredith. That is awful because its looking like Susan dies. I felt so sorry for Mark last night, as others have mentioned...I loved the scene between him & Mer when she responded to his suggestions as a friend. I am proud of her! It was so sad the way Sloan just crumpled, so sad seeing his realization that he lost Addison. Addy has been drifting away from Mark all this season, they are over with.

     I cannot wait for next week! It will be really sad if Susan dies. She is the one person that I really feel can help Meredith become a more whole woman.

     i just read the writer's blog and one thing i hated was his comparisons involving the penis fish with everyone's relationships. that was just gross. and still no podcast--gonna keep checking today. i hope it's not susan too! i think we all realize how much good she can do for meredith if given the chance. what a shame if she dies at this point. not sure where the writers are going with that line of story. i can't see how mer and thatcher would maintain a relationship if she is the reason that susan dies! this is definitely going to be interesting.

     Yeah, and I really think that she could be good for Derek and Meredith's relationship too! But I am sure the writers have a plan. I do know this, MerDer will end up together in the end and I cannot see it even taking that long.

     the penis fish metaphor was kinda weird. but i see what he means. but only really when it comes to izzie and george. i dont see mer as dereks penis fish, they have some stuff to work out, but shes not a carnivorous parasite, thats just wrong. and cristina and burke, the whole big wedding thing may not be what she wants right now. but it wont kill her to put on a big white dress and say i do in front of a hundred people. as for alex, well, in think his emotions are his penis fish.

     I can see Meredith and who she is now, the woman who has not dealt with the death-wish she had as a leach to Derek. He cannot always be her stability. He can in times of crisis, but not every day. She is going to have to deal with this issue and I think that she will. I think that she and Derek have more to talk about and as they work through it, it will bring them closer together and into a more healthy relationship.

     the whole irony of the show is that she chose to be a doctor as her profession---she heals others on a daily basis however, she cannot heal herself, as yet anyhow. it seems the premise for the show is her journey to enlightenment - how zen! lol
